AND Rickman is also a vocal and passionate leftie. Double whammy. Plus agree w/Waterslide that hating Jane is a bipartisan cause in many places. This is irony casting at its finest. Win all around.

Seriously though, I can't buy Rickman as Reagan for one essential reason: the voice. Reagan had an old-mannish, high-pitched voice. Rickman is gonna have to work very hard to disguise his unique (and deep) pipes for this one. I fear he's going to sound like a hysterical Snape on helium.

I hate Hanoi Jane ...there's not much she can do to make up for her abhorrent actions but I will see how well she plays out Nancy.
Jane just has to put on a pair of bloomers...

Did you guys see the rest of the cast list on IMDB. No joke:

    Robin Williams as Eisenhower (???)

John Cusack as Richard Nixon (knowing Cusack, this will NOT be a sympathetic portrayal)

James Marsden as JFK (uh, OK)

Minka Kelly as Jackie Kennedy (?)

Liev Schrieber as Lyndon Johnson (brilliant)

Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette from True Blood) as Rev. Martin Luther King (that could be cool)

    And no Jimmy Carter....WTF?

He was in 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' which is a truly great film, gives you a whole new perspective on missing somebody. He was so sexy in that!
