I have to admit, I forget to call Chaz a "he" sometimes. Chaz was Chastity to himself (formerly herself) and everyone else for 40 years.

I guess seeing someone get hit by the ban bus is a good way to remember that Chaz is a man now....

I hope Chaz is truly happy. It could not have been easy doing this under public scrutiny.

Hopefully now that he can be himself the weight will come off. Talk about a conflicted life he must have lead. The daughter of one of the most famous couples comes out as a lesbian and then years later she is going to go through gender reassignment. I think weight is the least of his worries. Once he heals emotionally hopefully his weight will get back to a more normal level. He has always been chunky. I remember looking at Chastity on the Sonny & Cher show thinking if I could be her I wouldn't have a care in the world. Just shows you can neve tell from the outside.

My friend that started to transition in our senior year of high school was always SIGNIFICANTLY overweight as a woman, and was during the first part of his transition as well. A few years down the line, after he had settled into his new life as the proper gender, he slimmed down quite a bit. He was finally comfortable with himself and it was easier for him to be healthy. Hopefully Chaz will have a similar experience as everything comes together for him.
