He is amazingly gorgeous. I worked as an extra in this movie, and I brushed shoulders with Johnny Depp in a doorway, I almost died. He is beautiful, perfection, and so down to Earth, he'll say hi to the extras & everything. Christian Bale is a different story. An extra told Christian that he loved him in Batman. Bale had him thrown off set. Granted, extras are supposed to be very professional and not to to the actors unless they say something to you. However, the guy could've been given a warning instead of being immediately fired. After all, it was a compliment to Bale, not an intrusive question or insult.

Ok, I've been working on this movie since May 31. Just finished this weekend. It's been the best time, I really feel very fortunate to have been a part of this film, to watch such a brilliant actor as Johnny Depp in action. Amazing. All the wonderful things you have heard about him are absolutely true. He is so cool on set. He will be in character, then out of character joking and throwing popcorn at us. Very gracious. Absolutely beautiful. He's gorgeous, his face hasn't aged at all, he ROCKS! I was actually shooting the breeze with him one night while waiting to roll. Talking about the Cubs, Dillinger being a Cubs fan, and the public loving Dillinger cuz he was "sticking it to the man". It was actually surreal, I was TALKING TO JOHNNY FREAKIN DEPP!!!!! He's so down to Earth and approachable, you forget you are talking to a brilliant actor, he just hangs out like one of the guys.
I got 10 inches cut off my hair to work on this movie. It was totally worth it. Got a cute new haircut for free, and worked with two of the biggest names in film: Johnny Depp and Michael Mann. Michael Mann is not as bad as people say. I went up to him after wrap one morning and told him it was an honor to work for him. He said "Thanks" and held out his hand to shake my hand, so I think he's great. Think about it: If you are putting your name on a big budget film, you will make sure EVERYTHING is how you want it to be. If the extras and crew get pissed, too bad, then they are being unprofessional. Look at Mann's resume, he has done amazing films. You don't do amazing films by being lacsidazical. This film will be amazing when it's released next year.
Sorry if I babbled too much on here. I had made a mention a month or so ago in a post that I was going to be an extra on this movie. I figured I owed you all some kind of report about how it went.
