She's far too thickly and darkly made up for my liking, she sort of comes across like a Cosmopolitan cover circa 1982.

I thoroughly admire her if only for one thing:
She's pretty much the only French actor/actress who's ever managed to grab leading roles in big American movies as a non-French person. Think about it. Germans, Austrians, Italians, Spaniards, Australian, Brits, Scots, Russians, etc? No problem! Oh you're French? Play a Frenchman/woman! Except if you're Vincent Cassel, then you can also play an eastern European (=>Eastern Promises).
Plus, she choses her roles really well, is truly beautiful despite her horrible sense of style and makeup, and is a good actress.
