Where is the proof that it is an engagement ring? I actually wear my wedding ring on that finger, and occasionally, I wear an ordinary ring and it never occurred to me that people would think I was engaged.
People are desperate to say anything they can, no matter how flimsy or stupid. It's not even worthy of being called gossip.

She used to wear that ring on her middle finger, but all those Cheetos gave her the deal breaking "fat fingers" syndrome and it just won't fit the middle anymore. Actually, it's fixing to become a pinky ring.

C'mon. The bitch drinks. At this point, she probably funnels it. After all, it runs in the family.
