But the charity Madonna started for Malawi orphans is just a ruse to bring money into Kabbalah. I was honestly shocked when I found that out. I just hope some of the money raised goes to its original cause. Shame on those who exploit charities for personal gain.

Not all celebs are on the take for "charitable" performances. Elton John NEVER asks for a fee. He's one of the few who don't. Frankly, I'm glad to see this despicable practice going more public since it makes me gag to see celebs get patted on the back when all the while they're being paid a fortune for "charity."

I know. I have never been able to see Tina Turner as anything other than a greedy hag since she took more than a million dollars to prance around in a see-through dress and sing three songs at a charity function- although the event was very ill-managed and would likely have lost money anyway, but still. I guess literacy in Africa isn't a big thing for her.
