It explains the decay that's settling in.
tbh, most people don't need to bathe every day. Unless you have a hormonal imbalance or are doing manual labor and sweating a lot or something you're not going to emit a big stink just by living your life, especially if you wear clean clothes.

Do you want to even risk it? Just at work you can spot a non bather 3 feet away. Of course, they can't tell. But the rest of us can.

Usually what makes you smell is your perspiration or sweat interacting with bacteria on your body. So, when it's cold, you tend to not need to shower as much. Or if you are older and perspiring less, you won't need to shower as much.
Might be possible in coolish London, but no can do here in the South. I am not going to inflict swamp ass or pits from hell on anyone.

I learned on a submarine tour that after a few weeks of bathing, you body stops smelling completely, as if bacteria reaches perfect equilibrium or something.

I dont bath often but i shower more than once a day.In fact the older i get the more i do it.It relaxes me and relieves back pain.Of course it is warm in here mostly, but then in the summer most people shower all the time.As a result and because i hate body cream,i have body dandruff..lol
Effie! At least get that new spray on kind. Sinks in quick and is just gone.
Showers are my fav and in summer at least 2 a day.

I shower almost every day because I go to the gym 4-6x per week.
In my Navy days, I was a complete priss, skeeving during long deployments when we'd have water drills and they'd secure the showers for days at a time.

If you're talking about a sedentary older person who's not doing a lot of sweating, I can agree that the only thing needed daily is washing the bits. However, there she is bike-riding...
She'd hate my hubby. He showers twice a day. But he's active and has to. And they are not long showers.

Excessive bathing/showering can strip the skin of natural protective oils, I've been told. I need to confirm this with a skin doctor.
