There are several meanings attributed to it. It means "resting place" and a few other things, and is used as a name for the Messiah. It's also not a good name for a person. It's stupid, pretentious name, but that's not a surprise. Consider the source.

Another interpretation of Shiloh has it as "gifts are to him" , he is revered, again referring to the Messiah and again meaning that kingship (reverence) will belong to Yehuda forever."
