It makes me terribly sad to see him like this.

It seems beyond cruel that Tim Curry of all people has to suffer a stroke and paralysis.

It's heartbreaking because he's only 69 years old. He's not that old. If he's been like that for 3 years I suppose it's not likely that he can recover. He's always been so awesome in everything he's ever been in.

It's somewhat reminiscent of Muhammad Ali's Parkinson Syndrome; such an active and physically able and active person reduced to less than a shell of his former self.
I've said this several times before: I saw a documentary back in the 1990's I believe in which Ali and his wife and neurologists and other specialists put aside the quick conclusion that he got Parkinson syndrome because of his boxing career. One of the doctors said if that were the case, Ali would be one of the least likely sufferers because as a boxer he was one who was hit in the head less than most other boxers. They also said he didn't suffer from Parkinson's disease but Parkinson Syndrome and last but not least they found out that it was in his genetic make-up. They literally said that he would have become ill with the condition anyway, even if he'd had a 9-5 desk job, just later in life. I never saw that documentary again, nor could I find it on the internet.

That's one of the first movies I saw him in. I might have seen Annie first, I can't remember. Poor guy, I also didn't realize he had a stroke. Such a shame.

I hadn't heard this. I'm so sad. He was always so full of life and vigor and to see him have to be in that chair at such a young age breaks my heart.

I had no idea anything was even wrong with him. He's always been one of my favs. His voice is so sexy. This makes me sad beyond words.

Report: Tim Curry suffers a stroke

    Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY10:57 a.m. EDT May 24, 2013

He's said to be "doing great."
Guess there's more ways to interpret "great", but since it was a major stroke, just surviving may have been it.

3:50 PM PT -- A rep for Tim Curry tells TMZ, the stroke actually occurred nearly a year ago -- last July.
