Lawn bowls is a sport, shooting can be a sport, even fishing - they may not require super fitness or athleticism but they're still considered sports, as is golf.
Be excellent to each other.
Mark Spitz, y'all! Or maybe you're too young to remember him.
Swimming was definitely a sport when I was in the stone age high school. Sure, it wasn't as prestigious as basketball or football, but it was a way the nerdy guys could get a letterman jacket just like the jocks.

i remember mark spitz and his ridic hour show on primetime. that's when they were trying to make him happen.
i also remember him trying to make a comeback at 40. he was in great shape, but not at olympic speed level.
Swimming is a way of life here. I could probably name hundreds of Olympic swimmers going back to the 70s. But we have the climate for it, and most of the population lives on the coastal fringe. I think in colder countries people only swim for exercise, whereas we spend a lot of our lives at the beach or pool and it's as much a leisure activity as a sport, but that doesn't mean that doing laps isn't training.
Be excellent to each other.
There was a Mark Spitz poster after he won his 7 gold medals. I think my mom bought it for me. Ewww, mom. Speedos.

Pseudo sports (golf, archery). Sumo wrestling is a sport. It's just that their athletes are encouraged to be obese.
i love that mo has decided this is the hill he wants to die on
