Love that song. By the way, I grew up in a town called Silver Spring. And it has no springs.

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me. Hunter S Thompson
How big would a T-Rex wang be?! - Karistiona
The Dance version of Silver Springs is my all time favorite Mac song. The intensity, the delivery. *Steviegasams*
ETA: Darksith, I'll be seeing FM next Monday night. I'll be thinking of you and your daughter during the concert. *hugs*
MO, she took the title of the song from Silver Springs. They were passing thru n the tour bus.
I saw them a year ago and I'm seeing them again in December. They were very loving and touchy feely through the whole concert. It made me tear up.
I am going to come and burn the fucking house down... but you will blow me first."
I wonder if she still bangs Mick Fleetwood as well.....
All of God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.

I read somewhere not that long ago that when Lindsey and Stevie were trying to break into the music business, I can't remember if it was FM or a band previous to that one, but they only wanted Lindsey and he said, nope, they're a package deal, so they hired them both. Can you imagine not wanting Stevie in your band???
And everywhere else.Talented and still looks awesome after all these years.
I was just reading a popular rumor that the Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane" was inspired by Buckingham and Nicks. Check out some of these verses (I only included some of them, not the whole song):
He was brutally handsome, and she was terminally pretty
She held him up, and he held her for ransom in the heart
of the cold, cold city
He had a nasty reputation as a cruel dude
They said he was ruthless, they said he was crude
They had one thing in common, they were
good in bed
They knew all the right people, they took
all the right pills
They threw outrageous parties, they paid heavenly bills
There were lines on the mirror, lines on her face
She pretended not to notice, she was caught up
in the race
Out every evening, until it was light
He was too tired to make it, she was too tired
to fight about it
Life in the fast lane
Glenn Frey and Don Henley have both said that's untrue.
Lindsey and Stevie have written some awesome songs about/to one another. Lindsey has a song called "What Makes You Think You're the One?"
What makes you think I'm the one
Who will love you forever?
Everything you do has been done
And this won't last forever
I love Stevie.
I'm old enough to remember listening to earlier incarnations of FM while I was in high school, then hearing Rumors for the first time while I was in college. I loved Stevie Nicks then, but my admiration and appreciation for her comes from a deeper place now that she and I are both older. And I can only imagine the stories she has to tell.
It's funny, I don't think I even noticed Silver Spring when it first came out, but now it's pretty much my favorite.
Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, minutus carborata descendum pantorum
Aw, I forgot how much I loved Silver Springs. Back in '97 and '98 I endlessly listened to their self titled album, Fleetwood Mac, on my tape player in the car.
If you haven't seen this on Showtime and this is your genre, please watch. SO interesting and well done. With Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Graham Nash, David Crosby etc.
