    3) Film producers jump the band wagon knowing the have a shitty movie on their hand, but not passing up on the PR opportunity of getting people to watch it 'for freedum'.
    4) Why the feds got involved is anybodys guess. Maybe they're incompetent. Maybe they wanted an excuse to retaliate against North Korea - weapons of mass desructions and all that.
With respect to #4 - The feds got involved not just because of the hack but because a threat was made against anybody who dared show/attend a screening of the film. That is a terrorist act regardless of what happened previously to Sony. And the threat was by the same Guardians of Peace group taking responsibility for the hacks.

With regard to the hack against Sony being an inside job, there would seem to be a problem. First, there is no reason for a hacker to tie the purpose of the hack to Korea. It doesn't work for purposes of misdirection because the FBI was involved as soon as Sony got hacked. Even though Sony is a corporation based in Japan, it's a corporation with US operations and when a federal offense is committed against a business operation here, the FBI can and probably will get involved.

I don't think the US is looking for an excuse to retaliate against North Korea. We are probably looking for an excuse NOT to retaliate. Anything we do against them gives them more of an excuse to tighten totalitarian measures there. They have plenty of examples of unprompted retaliation - creating counterfeit US $100 bills and disseminating them all over the place. Shooting Taepodong II multi-stage missiles straight over Japan. Disseminating nuclear technology to other rogue nations. Restarting their nuclear enrichment program right after agreeing to discontinue it.

^^Yeah, but I don't necessarily think, that the hacker, and the person making the threats, and the group taking responsability are the same. I think it's entirely possible that one after the other simply saw an opportunity to promote their own little agenda.

I really want to see this. I'm one of the few people that thought This Is The End was hilarious.

Since whenever I see or someone mentions Sluce, I picture George Clooney, the above post leaves a disturbing visual.

My DNA would definitely bring down the quality of George Clooney's babies.

For some reason I always seem to flick the channel over just at the part where Danny McBride has cooked all their food and thinks they must be tripping and that James Franco has jizz on his face and accuses him of sucking dick at the party, and when they deny it he says something like "there was a party and Franco didn't suck dick? You MUST be tripping".

I like it, too. McBride's character comes off as impossibly obnoxious and it's great. It seems very clear these guys are aware of what is said about them in blind items - like Franco being gay. Or Jonah Hill being an obnoxious, insincere tool. I think Hill's performance was especially good. I thought Craig Robinson's performance was terrific - I had never even heard of him because I had never watched "The Office". Michael Cera must have a great sense of humor about himself because his "character" was an even bigger ass than McBride's. Channing Tatum is a great sport. I also wanted to say that it was very impressive to me that so many actors or performers were willing to put in really brief cameos, particularly ones where they came to ignominious ends - Aziz Ansari, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Hart.

Yeah Mindy Kaling's cameo was hysterical and I also loved Emma Watson - I wish she had stuck around longer but she did look badass busting out wielding her axe and breaking Seth's nose.
