Oh I agree 110% that he should support his children but I don't think he should have to support her just because she had his kids.

My boyfriend of 8 years pays his ex-wife $17,000 a month (pretty good money for a woman that was raised in a trailer park).....she spends her time getting her hair extensions tightened and her nails done ......and she's raising a daughter thats shallow and vacuous just like she is....the kid has no ambition or drive......due to the example she has set

I only think spousal support is right if the women gave up her career because they both decided she should stay home with the kids. She then has lost a lot of earning power and should get some assistance while she gets her skills up to date and gets a job - maybe a year or so. After that she should be responsible for herself. My Dad had to pay his 2nd wife for 18 months while she went back to school because she had been out of the workforce for 16 years to raise the kids. After the 18 months the spousal support was dropped and he just paid child support. I hate it when I see people getting spousal support forever unless they remarry. So many end up living with new lovers they refuse to marry because they don't want to lose the free cash.

They only have 4 kids together. They each had one from a previous relationship. I'm also guessing there may be a few more from Shaq that are being paid well to shut up.

I'm sure they had a air tight prenup given he had plenty of $$ before they married. My opinion is that she doesn't 'deserve' any alimony. She knew what she was getting herself into and hopefully she enjoyed it while she could.
