I noticed quite a few people don't like the show, but I can understand that. I never understood the fuss about "Friends" I hated it, and couldnt get through an episode.BUT Sex and the City is a different matter.....I wish it were out already!

It's weird to me that I actually liked this show, since I'm not a big fan of TV-shows in general. Most of them bore me or I think that they are just plain stupid or I don't have the energy to watch all those 300 or more episodes.
I thought that SATC was rather well written and witty most of the time, sometimes a bit too much, but it managed to entertain me.
I don't really feel the urge to see the movie though. I feel it was a nice choice to end the show before it really jumped the shark. I think the movie might be a potential failure.

This show was really hit-and-miss for me. Sometimes I thought it was sensational and funny but other times, I just wished SJP/Carrie would quit whining, hop on her broomstick and fly away.

ITA. I like it, mostly, but Carrie gets on my nerves - I like SJP alright, it's the character that bugs me. The rest of the cast makes up for it, though, to varying degrees.

I liked all of them except for Samantha. I never could warm up to her. Miranda was my favorite.

I don't know how I feel about there being a movie. I LOVED the show, I still watch reruns every time I catch them, so on one hand I'd be excited to see them a few years down the line and how everything turned out. On the other hand, I felt the way they ended the series was perfect, I don't think anything more needs to be said or done with the characters. Every one of them was in a good place in their lives and there was a sense of closure and finality in the last episode, to add more could be a mistake.

was it necessary to make it into a movie, instead of just airing it on hbo for an hour.

At first I was wary, but now the closer it gets the more I want to see this movie. I love the show! I have the complete series, so i'm always watching them from start to finish. The thing that worries me was that as it hit season 5, I thought it started to swim around the shark. Could be just me but I still love them.

Sex and the City girls are back ... and guess what's on their mind?
Plastic Surgery?

How they are all way too old to be sexy in any way?

I was thinking the same thing about the ugly guy next to her.
Looks like his upper eyelids are different. He should've taken
care of those HUGE under eyebags

I liked the show and watched it occasionally, but I can't STAND Miranda or her whiny, obnoxious boyfriend. My God, he had to be the most annoying character in the history of television.
