R.I.P. Edward Kennedy. He may have been a failed human being, but he
was an outstanding senator and public servant. A great loss.

    well yeah, thats a given

and of course ONTD is full of fantards

and Reagan was a nutcase Gov. of California before he became a nut president, i hate all this praising of dumbasses after they die.

of course i could never get into or succeed at politics so i dont have much a right to talk shit, but its my opinion so be it.

sure, kennedy was a great senator to his tiny state. ill give him that. he failed at trying to become president though

I agree with you Sput. He was a great senator. He did a LOT of good. He voted against the invasion of Iraq when a lot of other Democratic senators didn't.

his acts weren't just for his 'tiny' state. Because of him, the voting age is 18, we got FMLA, he has fought for health care..etc..

    Here's a reference to Kopechne's parents:
Some would say that his private life is not our business. After all, Mary Jo Kopechne’s parents forgave him for Chappaquiddick.

I've seen mentions of the fact that her parents forgave him in a lot of searches. That was the easiest reference I could find. There's probably several old articles around somewhere on it. I just didn't feel like digging that far.

why did you have to go and put murder in the title? the editorial comment is unecessary and disrespectful to those of us who are sad about his passing.

Sen. Kennedy has done a lot of amazing things that have helped all of us. Its disheartening that he didn't get to see his life's work fulfilled with the passing of health care reform.

    Rest in Peace.

He was a man who made mistakes and he was a man who tried to do good with his life. A fine Senator and maybe not such a fine man. Flawed, like most humans.
