How sick. I thought that was illegal.

It was outlawed here in Texas only in 2005; Texas joins about 50% of states with bans or restrictions on first-cousin marriages. Apparently it's 100% legal in all of Canada, Mexico, and EU countries. It's still 100% legal in states like New York and California.

You are mixing genes in the same gene pool. It might be OK,but if there is a bad gene in both, it will double. Not prudent!
One of mine married a 3rd or 4th cousin & raised every eyebrow in the county. Frowned on,even that far removed.

The odds are higher (but not very high). Apparently first cousin marriage is legal in Canada; are you going to write your member of Parliament?

Seems to me if Richard is not upset by them tearing it down no one else should be. I'm sure he makes enough off the royalties to buy it and make it a smaller scale "tourist" attraction like the Presley's did with Graceland. Her music not where her misery took place are her legacy so I don't get the attraction.
as privileged as a whore...victims in demand for public show, swept out through the cracks beneath the door, holier than thou, how?

That's what I would do. They could probably sell that house to a rabid Carpenter fan for double its worth. Problem solved!
