Pffft...I don't think it's up to Sandra, it's up to the court. And wasn't she granted weekly unsupervised visits? If Jesse (NOT Sandra) isn't complying, then she needs to request a hearing.

If the child was left alone ,then punishment should be served ,but also parenting classes .If the child is still being neglected then ,yes parental rights should be taken away .what if the child dies ,then people would be saying why did not sandra do anything ?

At the hearing, James’ attorney raised concerns that Lindemulder had recently married someone she met at her halfway house. Her new husband has a criminal history including numerous felonies. His convictions include possession of a sawed-off shot gun, methamphetamine manufacture and possession, several DUIs, and driving without a license.

Jesse James: Don't Drag Sandra Bullock into Custody Fight
By Mike Fleeman

Jesse James has a message for his ex: Leave my wife Sandra Bullock out of the custody dispute.
The Monster Garage star's former wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder, suggested on Good Morning America this week that Bullock was trying to "take away my daughter" and called on the superstar actress to talk with her directly.
James's attorney Marilyn Slifman calls Lindemulder's remarks "inaccurate and unfortunate."
" Sandra Bullock is not a party to this litigation," Slifman says in a statement to PEOPLE. "Mr. James's sole concern is for the safety, welfare and best interests of his daughter. The proper forum to resolve this case is in the courtroom."
Bullock has been helping James raise 5-year-old Sunny since January, when Lindemulder, who has appeared in more than 100 adult movies, was imprisoned for tax evasion. Bullock and James wrote letters to the court questioning her fitness as a parent and raising concerns about the safety of Sunny because of Lindemulder's alleged drug problem. Lindemulder has since been released from prison and is tangling with James over visitation.

Sandra should have left herself out of it by not writing a ridiculously semi-literate letter to the court.

^^ I agree, she's not a party to the custody battle, but she IS co-parenting the child, so I think the court would want to hear from her, just as they might want to hear from Janine's spouse.
But Janine needs to drop the "this barren woman is trying to steal my child" act. She's not the victim here, and the child's not a piece of property. Instead of running around badmouthing Sandra Bullock, she should be working to comply with the court's requirements so she can get her 50% custody back. Did she even mention anything about the child's best interests in her interview? No, it was all about HER, and how they were trying to take away HER daughter.

Semi-literate sounds fun. Where can I read this letter?

Cool--thanks! *Salivating in anticipation.*
ETA: Well, she didn't exactly write in the English language as I know and love it. But the letter could've been worse. Overall, it sounds like Sandra is trying to step up and do the right thing, and it also seems like that little girl needs a decent living situation.

I seem to remember that Bullock, when she first married James, didn't want anything to do with this particular kid of his because it was the offspring of the porn star. There was an article in Vanity Fair and I remember being quite shocked that she was ready to dismiss this kid due to parentage. And does it make any difference that for most of her career the ex only did lesbian action?

She was actually stupid enough to admit that in an interview?

It was years ago, when they first married. I can't remember the exact phrasiing but I do remember reading it to mr. butt because I was quite shocked that she would only see his two other kids. I'm trying to find the article but haven't yet.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Janine. I think it must be really hard to be a porn actor/ess and live a relatively clean life. I don't think people should judge her over her career, as people have said... Thora Birch is a prime example that it doesn't affect shit.
As a kid from a custody battle myself, I think that both parents should STFU with the insults... sure for now the judge should probably award custody to James whilst Janine gets better and out of the safe house, but what should be interesting is how the older kid (apparently now 18) has been raised, I await to hear what his upbringing was like, I suppose that's a judge's prerogative too.

The court should decide based on Jesse and Janine only. Tomorrow Sandra could be gone as well as Janine's husband.
What I don't understand is Janine said the courts made her sign something to say she wouldn't do porn but how can they make her sign that when she didn't go to jail for porn? Also, Jesse is the one who told the IRS about her and Sandra told the judge to give her a harsher sentence, so I do believe they are trying to screw her.
