I used to think that the little line of hair leading down from a man's navel could be sexy as hell - I think those pictures have just changed my mind.

It's grossing me out too!! I'm over this guy - well and truly.

I only really find him funny when he's not in character, but I am amuse by what he does...just not by the actual application. Its just not my sense of humor.

I've watched Borat. I've watched Ali G. I've watched him sober. I've watched him tipsy. My friends swear this guy is a comic genius and point out "evidence".
I'm still not laughing. I did find the reasons the few in the group who have admitted to not finding him funny, said he was obnoxious, rude, and tasteless, but still trying to find amusing.
As for looks, he reminds me of a horse.

I can't imagine watching a full-length movie starring this character. Seems more suited for skit on SNL or something.
I do give him props for the hair removal though. He's one furry guy!

ITA and with everyone else who says they don't get it.. I thought he was funnier when he is himself. Borat and Bruno make me uncomfortable, and NOT in a good way.

I think that's exactly what he's going for, he wants to make everyone feel as uncomfortable as possible and maybe make you think about exactly why you feel so uncomfortable. I find it's because it all hits so close to the ugly truth. It's a mirror to the ugliest parts of how people can be with racism, homophobia, xenophobia. You should feel uncomfortable watching that. Remember the rodeo scene in Borat where he got an entire arena to cheer about killing every man, woman and child Iraq? I like that he exposes people who truly think like that, it's gold that he gets them to make complete asses of themselves without them even realizing, like Colbert does.
But it's just so absurd and over the top, and most importantly I know that it's satire, that's the reason I can find it funny. I'll admit I can also see why tasteless isn't everyone's sense of humor though. (sorry for the bruno-festo )

I think that "happy trail" is a joke, like photoshopped on or something. Or else that's how hairy he is and they left it there because it looks so funny.
I like Ali G, and Borat. I've heard that Bruno is funnier, but I don't see it yet.

Thanks sput.
Manx, I think the happy trail might be a fake too, or at least enhanced somehow (a happy trail merkin? lol) He doesn't seem quite that hairy in the man-kini picture.

^ I guess I am simple, I get all that, just do not like the experience of it. FOR ME movies are an escape, life is screwy enough.
