If the same comment came from a more respectable parent/ person in society would it be any more true?

Well, if her family came in numbers and held an intervention it would probably be better.

Last time I checked, Brit put up a pretty good front until she left her parents. Interesting. I agree, parents should do everything in their power to help their children. At some point though, the kid has the responsibility of helping him/herself.

I think her parents have been doing a great job of trying to help her. They got her into rehab but could not force her stay or live a sober life. They are not enabling her which is a step in the right direction.

I don't know. I think Rosanne is sorta right. Britney was a bit pimped out by her mother...but it is what Britney wanted. Ever since she was little, all Brit ever wanted was to be a star. Lynne isn't a stage mother like White Oprah.

I think that Britney should take responsibility for her actions. Yes, she's 26 and not 16 but she has the mentality of a 12 year old! And has no conception of the real world. And I blame Lynne for that! Lynne should have made sure Britney was educated!! Saying Britney is stupid is an understatement. I think she really needs to have a intellect test or something just she where her maturity and mental compacity is at.

I sort of agree but it seems pretty apparent Brit-brit has more or less lost the plot in a big way and will end up downing a bottle of pills or similar if someone doesn't step in. If it were my kid, I'd step in no matter what, even if they hated me for doing it.

Roseanne claims she was instrumental in saving her oldest daughter (not the one she gave up for adoption) from alcoholism.

I dont know shit about this lady,i just think she is almost right.
No matter how old you are, when times are rough you need the unconditional love of your parents around you.
If your kid doesnt want to use it,then its the parents fault and the kids issue.

then I'm never going to be able to help Britney. Is it the unibomber's mom's fault that he was the unibomber? What about BTK, Jeffrey Dahmer - at what age do our mistakes become our own? If I went out and did something stupid, would it be my mom's fault?
