Last I checked acting was a performance, and the point was unlike shitney, he didn't have someone stand in for him even if he did suck ass at it.
A wee bit more respectable than lipsynching or having a computer stand in for you.
I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
Henry Rollins is so badassed!
In Break The Ice especially, you mostly hear the background singers instead of Britney actually singing.
If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.
I think what happened was she gave up developing her existing vocal talent she had as a child once she saw how much easier and how much more attention it got her shaking her T&A on stage was instead.
And I believe her handlers and record co. encouraged that. Provocative dancing in skimpy outfits sells more records than working on a voice that they can studio produce anyway. She totally gave up on her singing talent for dancing and a sexy image. If you don't use it, you lose it, simple as that.
I imagine she could have turned out quite different if she had gone into, say Broadway musicals instead of pop music. She had the powerhouse projection needed for the stage and quite the stage presence even as a little girl.
I know, what she had to sell was sex appeal and a fit body. Now she has neither, so she can't sell anything, her career is in the shitter.
Sadly, all she has to do is get back into shape and just show up, and her career would be back on track.
Henry Rollins did surprise me with his standup, he was pretty good.
I remember only having terrestrial TV at one point & turning the tv over (we had 4 channels & I was an insomniac that finished work at midnight somenights...) to find about 15 mins of him.... I laughed so hard. He did that Thai Sex Show thing... I laughed & cringed at the same time. Funny thing was I'd been listening to his stuff at my friends' houses & never related the two....

Alicia Silverstone: "I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
No fucking way.
