RR had his eyes done and hopefully they have relaxed by now a few years later.
I do not stop loving someone because they've aged well or not. I had a 6'x6' Jeremiah Johnson poster above my bed when I was in the 6th grade. Unconditional love for Bob.

Oh, yes he did, and - sadly for him - it got botched! He had a
terribly bad eyejob back in 2000 or thereabouts and he also
had several peeling jobs to iron out some of the leathery
wrinkly stuff of his skin.

What again! Didn't we hear this same news last November. Did he make the announcement? I think it's pretty sad when you need to use a relationship to create some buzz about yourself; unless of course he gave her the engagement ring for her birthday and made it official.
Doesn't anyone else find it odd that someone who professes to value privacy, mentions engagement not once, but twice! Why does he now want to marry? I sense anxiety - maybe she is ready to bolt.
If she's smart, she won't marry him. It's easier to manipulate a narcissist when you have distance (i.e. don't live with him on a regular basis). But if she does marry him, she should seek out a good prenup that would allow her to walk out with a bundle after a year of marriage.
