i think people are way too sensitive about shit like this. i thought it was dumb when people got pissed at sean penn's green card comment at ińárritu as well, especially considering that they're friends irl. i thought it rdj's quip was pretty masterful shade, even though i agreed with ińárritu's comment about the right-wing rah-rah 'murrica idiocy of most superhero movies.

Like G.B. Shaw noted Hitler's socialism was false, a way of buying off the inevitable revolution. He wore, in Shaw's opinion "the latest mask of capitalism."

Industrialists did quite well during under Hitler, assisted by the Nazi policy of crushing unions and putting full employment over raising pay. It is true that the economy was socialised briefly in the 30s, but it wasnt out of a belief in socialism. It was to prepare for war. He fully understood that a command economy would be better at building arms than the free market.
The nazi's were through and through fascists, and Hitler hated both capitalism and communism, and though they did identity themselves as the National Socialist Party you are correct, they weren't true socialists.

Although we might finally discover the truth about Hitler's berries: the standard two, or only one?

You're right that Hitler wasn't traditionally socialist, he hated both capitalism and communism, and claimed to be socialist, but more than anything was firmly in the fascist camp.
Most importantly Hitler was a giant piece of shit that hopefully resides in hell with a nymphomaniac pineapple girlfriend who's into anal. God willing.

The Bourne films represent the American government as corrupt, and with Bourne as an antihero. The overall thrust of the film is not that the American government is great. The American Government is depicted as using unwitting Americans as human guinea pigs in medical experiments and then assassinating them and the scientists who worked with them for convenience. And the denouement in the last film (Bourne Legacy) is not that Bourne helped everyone enjoy the American way. He merely escaped to anonymity while the government cabal completely got away with their experiment and murder. Hardly an edifying rah, rah pro-American resolution.

Also, the Avengers film cited was Marvel Avengers - which is like a team of multiple superheroes. The problem was that the logo was so small.

Superman fights for "truth, justice, and the American way." That's kind of right wing/jingoistic. But he also works as a journalist for the "mainstream media" - a profession reviled by the right wing. And has a principal nemesis who is a power-mad American capitalist. And his costume is not red-white-blue, but red-yellow-blue - the flag of Colombia. Which, I admit, is kind of a right-wing country right now.
    Mo I love you but 2 things. Over-invested & TLDR-wall-o-text!

Yeah and that's really shitty of RDJ imo, even if someone criticized his movie first. It's a nasty, juvenile response I'd expect from a Fox News pundit. I also took offense to that shit Sean Penn said to Inarritu. It didn't seem like a joke to me but regardless, it's in poor taste.
