you don't need to be god to predict your own future choices. Like hey, I don't wanna get the shit kicked out of me, so I'm gonna chose to not go back.

Even after the abuse, even after you get away, there are still residual feelings. The key is taking control of your life so you are able to stay away from them until those feelings subside and you are able to see clearly again. A bad relationship can be like an addiction, and like an addict you have to go cold turkey and not put yourself in situations where temptation may arise.

Warning: If you hated Chris Brown before, you're REALLY going to hate him after learning what happened in detail.
*you can follow the next parts by link, there are like...3 more parts.

I never really paid much attention to her prior to the assault, but after watching those videos I like her a whole lot more. Chris Brown, however... Let's just say that if I stepped in him I wouldn't scrape him off, I'd burn the damn shoes.

i feel the exact same way. she seems really mature for her age, can control her emotions and just - the way I see it - has learned smth out of this terrible experience. also, i feel sorry for the girl.. brown is scum

Funny how everyone says how she destroyed Chris Browns career with that interview. I was doing some stuff but I had it on in the background and occasionally tuned in. Most of the stuff I heard I found myself frequently saying it was bull.
For instance, he looked like a man possessed as he hit her. Right, so youre cruising down the road listening to 'insert song here' and all of a sudden he just turns around and starts beating you, right? No one stopped to ask why he did that and this whole thing still annoys me. She wants to be a role model for the kids? Woman please. Just go away. A role model is someone who says the truth. Who comes out with 'Yes I hit him, this is what happened', not tries to act like she never said something that she already did. She said she hit him before, no mention of that? None of this came up, shes just an innocent woman who got her behind kicked by a man who seemed possessed. Yeah, right.

Speaking as someone that was in an abusive relationship...
It really does happen that way. One minute everything is ok and then BAM something, anything will set him off. He's literally not the person you know when it happens. Dead eyes, no soul, etc. is a PERFECT discription. The rage is all consuming.
And you know what, it doesn't matter what caused it or why it happened. You don't put your hands on a woman, period, end of story. Be a man and walk away.

I agree with you. Why does she have to tell that she set him off it was her fault etc? Is it so hard to just blame the beater. She doesn't have the right to beat someone and neither has he.
Violence is never ok. And these abusive people usually use the victims guilt as a weapon and that is how they make these victims to stay in these relationships.
It is really easy to say to these people who are the victims in these situations that they should know better and it is their fault too, but you cannot know the level of total repression that you feel when someone beats the hell out of you.
It's sickening that there is even talk that she had anything to do with this. She didn't beat Chris, he hit her. If she said something bad to him it is still not her fault. Nothing that someone says makes it ok to hit them. And even if she slapped him I don't think it is ok to give back anything.
I don't get why do we need to know all about this or that is she hiding something. I think she is hiding the fact that this wasn't the first time she got hit but I hope it was the last time.
