I read on another site that in a recent interview (not sure if it's this one) she admitted that she got back together with Chris shortly after the fight and then broke it off because of "the little girls" who look up to her. The fact that he broke my fucking face in would be my biggest reason for breaking it off... or, better yet, never seeing him again. But I guess I'm glad she seems to have moved on...

It was the same interview. In it she says that she loved him so much that she was blinded by her unconditional love for him, and went back to him..

For some reason I find this to be very calculating on her part...
I'm glad she came out and talked about it, but I don't think she did
because she wanted to help little girls that looks up to her, it's more
PR calculating move....
Like someone said her album is coming out...'nough said...

Rihanna was definitely reaching out to the 'little girls' in this photo.

She might seem more sincere if she didn't have an album to promote. I don't get why she's so popular. She can't sing, she can't dance, and she has no stage presence.

I don't doubt that her record company has told her to play up everything that happened since she's promoting a new album, eventhough that is sick.
They prob told her to use the 'role model' angle to death.
But no matter what, it's a good thing she got away from him because what would have happened next time? He is obviously completely off his rocker.

The 21-year-old singer spoke about the fear she felt, wanting to protect ex-boyfriend Chris Brown from scrutiny and their future…
On what she was thinking during the event: “All I kept thinking the whole time - when’s it going to stop? He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him.”
On wanting to protect Chris: “I had to protect him. I thought that I had to let him know, don’t do anything crazy. Like just hang in there…The whole world hates him now. His fans, his career. He just, he lost me, I just need to let him know; don’t do anything stupid …I’m not saying that’s an excuse for me to go back, but this is what I was thinking about.”
On their future together: “I don’t have a desire at all to be with him… I can’t see how we … would get back together, but I’m also not God and I can’t predict the future.”

I heard that part of the interview too and was stunned by her comments about "the little girls". It was upsetting to think setting an example for others would be more important than valuing herself. It was also interesting that she corrected Diane on some stats of how many times someone leaves the abuser before they stay away for good. She has been taught the right lines. Now let's see if she actually practices it. That last line of “I don’t have a desire at all to be with him… I can’t see how we … would get back together, but I’m also not God and I can’t predict the future” makes it sound like she has not totally closed the door.

Well duh, they're going to ask her about it so why not get it out of the way in one interview and move on.

That said, I've never even seen a Rihanna interview before until now. Her accent is cute
