I know there's a difference between all that. Okay, probably there are people who are surprised by this. But for me i'm not surprised one bit. Always thought that is what he did in his spare time.

I have the best memories of Richard on David Letterman and Howard Stern in the morning. They all had their schtick down and David would give Richard like 15 minutes of air time. That's three segments. On Howard's radio show, Howard would say something so offensive that Richard would continue with Oh no Howard, no, no and they'd go off on their schtick.

This is classic. A turkey costume, a fire extinguisher, kissing Dave, a Cher joke. The whole kitchen sink.

I've been listening to the Missing Richards Simmons podcast, and so far it's pretty good. I don't know if it's going to solve anything about whether he's retired from the public eye willingly or not, and if he has, then why, but they're doing a good job of showing how Richard Simmons is a way more complex person than what you see on TV. I always found him likeable, now I find him interesting, too.
