I don't know if they're fake or not but they're booooooooring. Jake really doesn't do it for me in anyway. He'd be more interesting if he actually was gay.

did you notice how much hooplah there was any time that Reese went out after her divorce? Any single Hollywood star is going to get the 'dating random dinner date' treatment. I would assume that after being married for so long, she wants to take a breather and be able to date men at her leisure without the paps breathing down her throat.
A very hyped "relationship" is the perfect solution for everyone. The media gets to run articles and pics of Reese non-stop and sell things, and Reese gets to date on the down lo or NOT date if she doesn't want to and doesn't have to worry about her life being tabloid fodder. I think lots of Hollywood types are smart enough to make deals with the press like that.
Now Jake's motives on the other hand... don't get me STARTED...

I seem to remember, and I could be wrong, but I seem to remember them doing the whole 'she went out to dinner with this guy! maybe there's something!' two or three times before the whole Jake thing. The typical stuff that the tabs do whenever a celeb is single. If they're in the same restaurant - they're dating; if they're in the same club - they're fucking; and if they're in the same hotel they just got married.
