I soooo agree with you both. I don't understand why people think it's acceptable casual conversation to ask someone about their reproductive intentions. Whether a woman just outright doesn't want kids, or she can't conceive...why should she have to endure nosy questions or comments about her "biological clock?"
I don't know why I hate her, but I do.
Yeah, it's like you're breaking the social contract or exhibiting a fatal character flaw if you can't, don't have or don't want to bear children. I agree that people need to mind their own business - what's it to them?
I know/know of a few people that wish they had never given into societal pressure to have children. While adequate parents, parenthood doesn't suit them.

She needs to GTF off my Wheat Thins box. Her obnoxious face makes them less tasty.

If they could, they'd thank her. She would talk their ears off!

It must be tiring to be so relentlessly perky. Even Kelly Ripa isn't that bad. Maybe over working her motor mouth is wearing her out? Isn't she one of Oprah's proteges, like Dr Phil (another obnoxious asshole)? Ms Winfrey sure can pick 'em.
I like and have used some of her recipes, but she seems like the kind of person it would be exhausting to be around for long periods of time. Maybe because she's such a whiz in the kitchen people think that means she should excel or want to involve herself in all things traditional or domestic, including spitting out young'uns. I think she's a bit high strung for mommying anyway (not that this character trait has stopped other women from breeding).

I guess I am in the minority but I like RR. I do believe she needs to jettison her freak of a hubby but that's just my opinion.
You would not believe the number of times my family has asked my wife when we were gonna start having kids. It feels like people do not consider you normal until you start spitting out offspring. We are having the time of our lives traveling and too busy doing all the stuff on our life-lists to have kids. I wish they would GET OVER IT. Until they can guarantee me the kid will be born with a bartender's uniform and a shaker, it's not happening anytime soon.
I hope that makes you feel better. lol
And I hate the double standard that men are never quizzed about when they're going to start a family, especially if they're on top of their game like RR is. A lot of people dislike her, but in this situation a lot of women can relate. Motherhood is not for everyone, and I'm tired of people thinking they have the right to ask women when they're going to have a baby. And they look at successful women like they're "so selfish" for choosing to forge ahead with a career instead of motherhood.![]()
