I don't have any real problem with the Queen in particular, I just don't buy the whole idea of royalty, which is based on the premise that they are chosen by God to rule over the masses. It's the lucky sperm club as far as I can tell.
On the upside, she isn't related to her boyfriend. That's got to be considered a plus by the Royal Family.

I hate the concept of monarchy as well, but my more immediate distaste for it is the antiquitated concept that Australia's head of state should be a foreign born royal who lives on the other side of the world and has no direct contact with our state, let alone our system of government....
But anyway.
I totes agree about the "certain type of girl" who will never have to work, just marry well. It's not unusual or new.... up until the mid 20th century it was the friggin' norm! However traditional it may be, in this day and age it's pretty bloody pathetic.
Just morbid curiosity .... I remember them making a big deal about Diana being a virgin when she wed and that it was "verified." Since Will will be King one day, does that not matter anymore?
^^ It doesn't seem to. I think they learnt a lesson from Diana - no more "stainless" girls who can't cope with the job.
Imo Prince William can do a hell of a lot better. Who knows, maybe she gives great head or something.![]()
