I'm not about to get into a feminist debate. But, women can choose to work or stay home with their kids. It's a decision the family makes. Yes, Kate does have a job to represent the monarchy but she also has a job being a mom and that's just as important. I think it's shitty for people to constantly knock her down for not doing enough.

Maybe Kate will do more when the kids will grow up, about 20 years from now . Maybe not. Who knows. However, I'm sure she'll always find time to go to Wimbledon.

Kate can do as much or little as she likes if my taxes aren't subsidising her pampered, privileged existence.

No one ever says this about Will, shockingly enough.
Honestly, I dont even know what Will does besides greet and meet. lol Though I dont really follow him that much.

    Harry is more interesting.

Exactly. It's only two weeks in the year and she doesn't go every day. She is also patron of the Lawn Tennis Association so she has to be there.

They are basically scroungers at this point. How is this even legal?

Bummed to read she left one of her rescue dogs behind (lab mix). Hoping there is a legitimate reason....maybe too old to fly? Being on the board of a local rescue, I hate hearing these stories. Although, I'm sure the dog will be well taken care of.

I'm glad it is a legitimate reason. Poor pup.

Completely agree but still think it's laughable that as long as she has a busy charity calendar it's ok that taxes subsidize their pampered, privileged existence.

These people are already rich AF, they shouldn't get any tax support at all.

Being an island, Great Britain has very strict quarantine rules for dogs. They have to spend 6 months in quarantine, away from family, even if all their vaccinations are up to date, which is pretty standard worldwide for rabies control. That's just too much for an older dog, even if they could manage to provide a private, comfortable 1st class flying situation.

Why does it being an island make a difference in quarantine rules?

Because islands are theoretically closed ecosystems, and new pests or organisms can't naturally reach them without human introduction. That means they are more sensitive to introduction of any foreign pathogen (organism/bacteria/virus), which can change and damage the ecosystem drastically.
