    I think a better gift would have been HIS OWN DEAD BODY!

    That way not only Kate would benefit from his present; it would have been a gift for the masses...

    Nobody balks when Damien Hirst puts a shark in formaldehyde and this is very similar.
    actually, they did. I remember when that was unveiled- it was very controversial because it wasn't technically 'art' in the traditional sense of the word. I saw it myself at an exhibition, it was a few years old by then and looking a little worse for wear! As a natural history exhibit it was interesting, I've never been that near a shark before, they're ugly buggers.

    As for the dead mouse 'jewellery'--yukyukyuk. Looks like something from the victorian times- I remember seeing a rabbit's paw mounted in a very similar fashion in an antiques shop once.
