PETA has done for animal rights, what Green Peace has done for the environment.

^^ what torks my butt hairs is we have fake fur, we do not need to wear animal skins anymore - some think it's OK as long as it's not Fluffy or Spot but in china they eat fluffy and spot and their wear their fur.
Its barbaric. I have little respect for any person who wears furs.. now it's a bling.. wear your diamonds but let the animals wear their own fur

Alot PETA activist and supporters smoke, slowly killing themselves and increasing cancer rate for me and the HUMANS around them. May I add it also makes my furs smell like an ashtray. Smoking would kill before a chinchilla, rabbit, etc would. Fyck PETA. Just saying.
We have gum, faux ciggs, and The Patch aswell.

^At least the humans have a choice about not standing next to a smoker, so next time, maybe you could take your dead animal coat and move.

Says your leather/suede shoes, lunch, and I'm sure the water you drunk wasn't humidity collected from the heavens. PETA is about the horrid ways animals are killed, maybe some people treat the animals like royality then put them gently to sleep. Who knows? Anyway I'm done with this PETA shit, yall can have it.

Did you know in the state of Kansas a greyhound is not a dog therefore they do not have to abide by the rules of the ASPCA? I contacted PETA about it to see what they were doing and they were up on it.. I give them kudos
Also Emory uses chimps for testing.. it took them years but they finally gave them AID's so they could see how it effected them.
I heart PETA for having the guts to do things I can't.

A lot of medical stuff is tested on animals first - how do you think we got organ transplants and most of the drugs.
Therefore I expect PETA members to a) not use modern medicine (including anasthetics); b) not take modern drugs c) not wear/eat anything animal - that included Uggs.
I agree that some animal testing is not necessary but I think that there are also occasions where testing is legitimate.
I don't agree with their tactics and I think that they turn off a lot of moderate people with their extreme methods and sheer unreasonablness of their PETArds. That said I do think that animal welfare is a legitimate topic to address.
N.B. This isn't a dig at you GAPeach, its just that you raised somethings that I wanted to address.

Oh fer crissakes, let people wear what they want. If you do your bit for the animals and don't wear fur or eat meat, good for you. But they cant expect everyone else to do it.

It's not just the medical field where animal testing is done...the worst unnecessary animal testing occurs in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
It's why I don't buy any product from L'Oreal or it's brevy of owned brands. Which now unfortunately includes The Body Shop, I don't shop there on principal anymore.

I understand. We all have different thoughts and opinions. I love debates.. not attacks and you've never attacked me.
I have problems with people killing endangered animals just because the powder of the horn makes their dick hard. The blinged out pimp daddy wearing his fur or Aretha Franklin wearing her fur - damn it must have taken an entire herd to cover that woman.
I'm sorry but it's unnecessary b/s to kill a animal for it's fur.
I know we have to do animal testing but watching a show on dog Whisperer about a dog who was only used for testing, no touching no kindness shown - really broke my heart.
For the most part I like my fur friends better than my human friends.. for obvious reasons - they are much kinder, never tried to rob me and love me even when I screw up.
As for the smoking remark - well I guess some people who work for PETA smoke and some don't and I don't see what that has to do with the price of tea in China.
For me PETA is a means to an end, the methods are stupid at times but it brings to light a problem. Like skinning animals while they are still a live.
Between no PETA and having PETA I vote having PETA.
