I'm all for some pointless slagging off of celebs, no matter who does it.

I think its hilarious and very savvy. There is no reason why those girls are flaunting fur so much. They are very influential in the fashion industry and it disgusts me that they are bringing fur back.
I hope this campaign has an effect. I signed the petition thing on the site.

Their MySpace reads: " Hi, we're Hairy Kate and Trashley Trollsen, and like most trolls, we live under a bridge and wait for furry animals to walk by so we can skin them and wear them as hats. Because we're celebrities, we don't have to live by the same rules that ugly people like you do, and if we want to wrap ourselves up in someone else's skin, or drape our bodies in the rotting remains of someone's family, we totally can! And boy, do we ever. "

The Trollsons? Really? Is PETA made up of 6th graders? Do these people ever do anything worthwhile that actually helps the animals they claim to love so much?

I call them the troll babies all the time and I've been out of sixth grade for ... too many years to mention.

PETA is ridiculous and their extremism hurts the very legitimate cause of animal rights. For example, they've done campaigns in which they tried to tell kids that drinking milk would make them fat, as though it's okay to encourage children to obsess about their weight in order to help dairy cows. They use way too much shock-value in their campaigns and not enough substance.
I find this one pretty amusing because sometimes the celebrities who endorse PETA's causes are fur wearers or meat eaters or violate another one of their many, many prohibitions. If you want to be an exemplary PETA member, you can't eat meat, fish, dairy or anything containing gelatin or retin; you can't wear fur, leather or any other animal products; you have to watch out for make-up testing, etc. But of course, celebrities who pitch for them get a free pass, right?
I don't like the Olsens but they're just young women who are insecure, anxious to be fashionable and not very socially conscious; I don't think they deserve to be demonized. The viciousness of this attack just makes PETA look like they're desperate for attention and out of ideas.

The Trollsens? Classic! I don't agree with all of Peta's practices, but this still amuses me.

[nitpick]Erm. Well. Anybody totally can, if they want to. I wasn't aware that there were any "rules" that "ugly people" had to follow governing the right to wear fur. This is bloody stupid.
But oh well. I'm against fur and I'm no Olsen fan, so whatever. [/nitpick]

While I am against wearing fur for NO reason (ie living close to the equator), there really is nothing better to keep you warm in northern climates. Man made materials just don't work the way mother nature's do!

PETA are hypocrites..they kill some of the animals they claim they save! And why do an organization that is against wearing animal fur have a large meat freezer warehouse? I call Bullshit, since that's one of my sources on PETA
