    Paul Walker's Will

    $25 Million Estate

    Curious Language

2/4/2014 12:50 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

    EXCLUSIVE

Paul Walker was worth $25 million when he died and there seems to be some possibility of a family conflict ... this, based on new documents obtained by TMZ.

We've obtained a copy of Paul Walker's will. Walker left his entire estate -- $25 mil -- to his 15-year-old daughter Meadow.

Paul's dad -- the named executor -- filed Paul's will with the court. Paul's dad has petitioned the court to appoint Paul's mother -- Cheryl -- guardian of Meadow. What's more, Paul's dad wants Cheryl to be the guardian of the $25 mil. This is exactly what Paul wanted under the will.

Now Meadow lives with her mom, Rebecca Soteros. If Paul gets his last wish, grandma will become Meadow's guardian. It's unclear if Rebecca approves, but it's definitely strange that Paul wanted his mom to be guardian since Meadow lives with Rebecca.

A court hearing is scheduled for later this month.

Can you just will custody away from a parent? That doesn't seem right.

Maybe it is just guardian over the money...not as a custodial parent/guardian. Paul might not have trusted the Mom of Meadow to keep the money secure for Meadow's future.

I would assume guardianship would apply to younger children. When I was single and did my will that was a point in there....guardianship of my son. I listed my aunt. Come to think of it, I don't remember changing that when I got married. But I would think if there was a dispute a 15 year old would be able to say where she wanted to live, kinda like in regular custody disputes.

I also thought that was strange about her not being either the mom.

Just wanted to note that my will says that in the event of my untimely demise, Mel will become the guardian of Nadya Suleimon's children.

That would be the best thing to happen to those kids! But, who gets Justin Bieber?

He had full custody of her. Not sure what the law would be. Does the mother automatically get full custody due to his death?

We had a similar issue crop up in my family. Mother had willingly signed over custody to the father, father unexpectedly died. Children went back to mother as she wasn't unfit and is legal next of kin. Grandparents went to court to have children turned over to them and won. The mother had very little involvement in the children's lives once she signed over custody and the judge ruled, while fit it was in the best interest of the children to be with their paternal grandparents as they were far more involved in the daily life in the years leading up to the father's death.

Paul Walker's purported sunglasses, other items from crash site up for auction

Items allegedly found at Paul Walker's crash site are now up for auction.

The items for sale are a fire extinguisher said to be used in the efforts to save the "Fast & Furious" star's life, a piece of debris from the crash and arguably the most popular piece, the sunglasses he was supposedly wearing the day of his death.

"We photo-matched them to the one's Paul was wearing [that day]," Kieta, an acquisitions specialist at BidAMI.com who did not disclose her last name, told the Daily News about their verification process regarding the questionable sunglasses.

"And of course the statement from the person who obtained them," she added, although she would not divulge the seller's name.

The unknown seller claimed to have been at the scene Nov. 30 in Santa Clarita, Calif., where he was told by police to stay away, reports TMZ.

Shortly after the wreckage was cleared and authorities left, he reportedly found the sunglasses in a bush not far from where the Porsche Carrera GT carrying Walker, 40, and Roger Rodas crashed. There was no explanation as to how he came across the debris or the fire extinguisher.

The site began hosting the auction Thursday and has since crashed due to overwhelming interest, Kieta said. But with more than 4,000 views, only four have actually bid on the items currently priced at $1,572.

The lack of bidders could be due to questions of authenticity and whether auctioning off Walker's belongings and items from the crash site is morally correct.

However, Kieta assures their intentions came from a "place of respect."

"He wanted to do this for good, not anything disrespectful," she said of the seller.

Additionally, the site indicates "a portion of the proceeds will benefit savethemustangs.org, one of the main charities BidAMI partners with."

"Paul was about charity," Kieta continued. "When he died he was at a charity event."

She added that "if the bidders have a charity they wanted the proceeds to go to," the site would accommodate that.

While the seller is not willing to offere a statement at this time, he did reach out to Walker's family prior to putting the items up for auction but did not get a response, Kieta said.

"I don't know what his feelings are," she added.

Paul Walker's Mother Seeks Guardianship of the Actor's Daughter

Per the wish expressed in the late actor's will, Paul Walker's mother has filed a petition asking to be named legal guardian of the star's 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Rain.

The papers, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles, say that "parental custody would be detrimental to the minor." And they ask that Cheryl Ann Walker – not Meadow's mom, Rebecca Jo Soteros – have custody.

Cheryl is "a loving and responsible person. She works as a registered nurse. She has raised her own four children," the papers say. "The mother has a drinking problem. Petitioner will act as the guardian of the person and estate of the minor."

Meadow, her mother and her grandmother all currently live together in L.A. The papers – Walker's will was uncontested – say Meadow has been living with her grandmother since August 2012, following a year living with her father. Before that, Meadow grew up living with her mom in Hawaii.

A hearing on the guardianship petition is set for April 30.

Walker, who died Nov. 30 in a fiery car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif., named Meadow the sole income beneficiary of a trust worth over $16 million that she will eventually inherit, the papers say.

The grandmother is not planning to adopt Meadow.

The Fast and the Furious actor was never married to Soteros. The two shared custody of Meadow over the years.
