“What are you looking at, sugar-tits?” - Mel Gibson
Bless his doctor for making that statement--hopefully it will allow PS some privacy. But i don't buy it for a second. I'm afraid the clock is ticking for Patrick. It's so sad. It just goes to show you that we have to live our lives, and every day as if there's no tomorrow, because there might not be.

Thanks, Laurent. I should be more educated in cancer research/symptoms since it's in my family, but I honestly didn't know. My dad had to have 3 surgeries, I believe, from the colon cancer, and that was very invasive. It had mestastasized and spread (I don't even know if that's the right terminology), but my prayers to anyone who has someone close affected with this.
You were lucky to have me. But you know what? I think I already got the best part of you. And she's standing right out there. I don't know... what's left just doesn't look so good anymore. Hope Floats
It's all over the PC boards I used to read. One member called Patrick's agent to help direct him to get information. The William Morris agent said thanks, no recommendations are needed.
Responding to treatment can mean anything. It basically buys a little time. I hope this thread doesn't go to the bad place. I've seen it all with this disease.
You hear your friend say to you after 3 months of treatments that the second opinion doctor said (after she said tell me now)...that she probably had 8 more weeks. And she did.
I had a great aunt who used to pay a surgeon to open her up and check for pancreatic cancer every year because her mother, my great grandmother, died of it. My great aunt paid for this surgery out of pocket and did this for many years. She didn't ever develop cancer but passed away from congestive heart failure well into her 80's.
The pancreas produces digestive enzymes including insulin and other important endocrines and hormones. It's one of those organs you just can't live without so removal isn't an option. Because it sends enzymes and hormones directly into the blood stream any cancers are quickly spread into other parts of the body so it's usually too late by the time it's detected.
If all the women in this place were laid end to end, I wouldn’t be surprised - Dorothy Parker
I hate cancer. My Dad died of cancer three years ago (at 53) and this news is upsetting. Another guy, too young.
My prayers are with Patrick and his family.
Point Break is one of my all time fav flicks.
Peace for Patrick.
I really hope he pulls through fine, always loved him as an actor, and he's always seemed like such a sweet man.
Wow Chalet! Any interesting tidbits for us???
I really hope and pray that it's all going to be okay for him.
Weird thing though; I was looking at my Mums dvd shelves and the 10 Things I Hate About You dvd was next to Dirty Dancing. Bizarre! My Mum loved Heath and loves Patrick - I just thought that was really eerie.
