I'm going to second the idea of the people who've not seen Dirty Dancing to get on the stick and watch it. Its a totally cheesy movie, but it really is great. Plus, its got Jerry Orbach. You just can't go wrong with Jerry Orbach. And Jennifer Grey with her correct nose! Watch it...you know you want to...join us...you'll soon be one of us! You'll soon be one of us!!!

[peeks around door] I haven't seen Dirty Dancing either. That kind of movie makes me cringe. Sorry.

It was an entertaining little movie. I hope he somehow is one of the 'miracle' ones and survives somehow.

I thought Dirty Dancing was the shit because it was 1987 and I was 9 and it was really popular at the time. If I saw it now as an adult I'd think it was majorly cheesy and wouldn't understand all the hype about it. The only thing that makes it still worth watching is the soundtrack of great 60's tunes (Motown!) and the dirty dancing choreography.

Well, I was in 7th grade when it came out and it was pretty much standard fare for any Junior High sleepover for a couple of years. Lots of pausing and rewinding on the end part when Johnny and Baby are dancing together in the end and he mouths the words of the song. Then lots of junior high squealing and rewinding again. Oh, Dirty Dancing...thanks for wrecking my expectations for men at such an early age.

Very sad news. I read this on CNN early this morning.
"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers."

I hear it's not as bad as the Enquirer is saying it is, but pancreatic cancer is still a virtual death sentence for most people diagnosed with it. I hope he recovers, but the odds are that he won't.

I had the biggest crush on him when I was in junior high. So sad.
