So is this true for everyone who eats meat? I'd just like to know where I fall in teh scheme of things.

Seriously, off ALL of the things Pammy could have said, none would have been more hypocritical than this.

"suggesting it’s ok to eat man meat, just not animal meat"

WTF is "man meat"?

Perilita, I don't agree with those slogans either, because they are also a provocation. I don't eat meat, but I respect that other people do, as long as they don't make me eat it
And I don't agree with PETA's aggressive approach, I think many times it does more harm than good, it pisses people off and puts people against them, ultimately it's not good for the/their cause

I think Pammy is an authority on that...

On another note...Pamela Anderson is apparently going into the Australian Big Brother house
Now I'm glad I'm going to Oz. I might just have to watch this particular train wreck.

Everybody has the right to eat meat and to wear shirts proclaiming one likes to eat meat, yes, but saying real girls eat meat implies that whoever doesn't eat meat is not a real girl, and that eating meat is the right thing to do, it can piss off many people, it's a provocation, and I think that was jessica Simpson's intention
Who is she to say who's a real girl or not?
You're kidding, right? Some random person might find a t-shirt offensive so it shouldn't be worn? I mean, it didn't even say 'only real girls eat meat' or 'if you don't eat meat you aren't a real girl'. Sorry but anyone who gets upset about this is really looking for things to be upset about.

There is a little midget in the house this year called Rima, and she actually broke her leg in the first week, its now half way though the season and shes going back in because its healed up enough. And just before she went back in, like 2 hours or so, she was on the radio. And the radio dude couldnt TELL her that pamela andersons going in, but he said something like "make sure youve got all your shots" she was like wtf!

If Pam did use those names to describe Jessica, she was right. I mean, she would know, right?

it's not about "looking for things to be upset about" come ON. what if i wore a t-shirt that said something like "real girls kiss boys" and a lesbian got offended? would that be blowing things out of proportion? if you choose to eat meat and i don't then don't make judgments about it.

and just for the record, i find statements like "i think therefore i am vegetarian" equally offensive. everyone has a free will; get over yourself.

edit: i don't mean YOU buttmunch, just ppl in general...

Anyone that finds a slogan t-shirt offensive has too much time on their hands.

There are more issues in this world to be worried about.

It depends on what the tshirt says,it doesn't necessarily have to do with the amount of time you have on your hands, but with expressing a strong opinion out loud and in public

I'm a meat-eater, and I find vegetarians to be far more preachy than carnivores. For the most part. Two of my closest friends are vegetarian and happily accept that I love chicken more than life itself.

When Tina Fey becomes a vegetarian, then I will too. For more pro-meat T-shirts, there is also this famous one:

I'm kind of shocked by Pamela's reaction. She always seemed to be kind of a sweet airhead. To react so vehemently to a t-shirt that Jessica is probably only going to wear once in her entire life is kind of a weird overreaction.

However, it seems like PETA people are really prone to grabbing and running with anything that might get a little publicity.

And the comments don't make sense. I think it would have worked a lot better if she had called Jessica "insensitive" and "clueless".
