Yep. I had such major water retention towards the end of my pregnancy that I think I terrified my non-pregnant friends.
But I'm sure these pics of Nicole will all be very tasteful and airbrushed and lovely.

I don't understand that. Turning it into something it isn't? Pregnancy doesn't make you deformed or hideous, and I don't think too many mothers would necessarily consider pregnancy (or the child borne from pregnancy) a burden. Most women I know look back on their pregnancies and say even though they had swollen feet, backaches and sore breasts, it was a wonderful experience.

I'm sure she's not doing the pics to look sexy, but as a way to remember her pregnancy. The pics will surely be beautiful and something lovely for her to look back on when she smells of baby sick and is exhuasted!

I think the pregnant form is gorgeous, but like anything else, it's a matter of personal taste. Some will agree and some won't.

Well, what I meant was that it is a matter of opinion as to what is hideous and what isn't. Saying 'pregnancy is beautiful' is like saying 'all brides are beautiful' or 'all babies are beautiful'. It might make for a nice bumper sticker but isn't necessarily a universal truth and it comes off like a marketing ploy instead of an opinion. How a woman remembers her pregnancy has a lot to do with her experience. I know one women who was hospitalized for pregnancy related heart problems and was in a lot of pain and another who was vomiting for about 5 months straight and suffered horrible cystic acne. Their memories are a lot different that other women who were relatively normal in their pregnancies of who had minimal limitations placed on them due to pregnancy related illness. They all love their kids regardless but they don't all have fond recollections of carrying them.

You know, I have friends who LOVED being pregnant and would cheerfully have had 6 if their husbands would go along with it. I did not enjoy it myself. The only part I really loved about it was when the baby was really moving around alot.

I don't think it's hideous, but it's not really beautiful empircally. Artistically, it's beautiful in a circle-of-life kind of way. Even though I was sick and felt horrible during my pregnancy, I loved carrying my baby. But it's not SEXY. And it's not PRETTY. It's actually quite odd, frankly.
I'm glad we don't put pregnant women in hiding anymore, but now we glorify them, and it's kinda weird.

Plenty of women get pictures while pregnant. I don't see anything wrong with it.
At first I thought she was going to be on a magazine cover like Demi Moore to put the "is she really pregant" rumors to rest.

I don't know, I didn't find myself sexy during my pregnancies, but my fiance thought I was incredibly sexy and was always trying to get some, even when I was 9 months along. He was always telling me how hot I was with my big round belly. ::shrug:: Just sayin'. It's sexy to some.

Nicole is getting carried away by this pregnancy. It's all about her, as usual.

I totally agree.
Nicole used to be somewhat attractive, but she is looking scarier by the day.

When they surface, forget NSFW tags. Mark them as possible agents that cause permanent blindness.
