Nicole Kidman opens up about her nearsightedness and marriage

I really like Nicole and I hope she and Keith make it. She seems to have a whole different mindset with this marriage. I think she's finally happy and content.

As for her kids, I agree that she's never been one to parade her kids in front of the media for a photo op....unlike someone else we know all too well. I choose to commend her for that rather than vilify her. I don't think its fair to automatically presume this means she doesn't care about her kids. As a matter of fact, her last statement implies to me that she's quite concerned about them, but is feeling completely helpless against the Cruise powerhouse. I'm sure with him in the picture, things aren't quite as cut and dry as we'd like to presume they would be.

she looks like plastic frankly,and she's annoying as hell,but part of me feels a sadness in her that makes me quite uncomfortable when i read what she has to say about her life and most especially about her kids,I still can't make up my mind if it his her fault,she doesn't feel any motherly instinct or she just couldn't do anything because those are tom's kids

^^ She does seem cold and plastic, but something tells me that her being away from her kids has nothing to do with her being unmotherly. It's ALL that control freak Tom Thumb.

When you have sole custody (like Tom) you get to decide the kids' religion. Since Co$ insists that you can only be around like-minded freaks, the kids aren't *allowed* to be around her. All in the name of that sick ass "religion".

I'm nearsighted as well, but usually only wear my glasses for driving and watching t.v.

I walk around blind half the time too, but you get used to it. It must be cool for her to have 20/20 now.

I think Nicole signed a deal years ago that she now deeply regrets now that she's older and her career isn't on the rise. Plus, wasn't it said before that her kids don't really want to see her - that that want to stay in Co$ school? They really do a brainwash number on you. I think Nicole made a bad decision many years ago and now she has to pay the consequences. And from some of the vague statements she has made recently that are almost ant-Co$, I don't think she is very happy about it, but can't really do anything. Its sad. And Katie will probably be in the same position a few years from now.

while i do think she sold her soul for fame and fortune (there is no way she would have become famous without the marraige) Tom was not as weird back then and she may not have fully realised what she got herself in for.
She's obviously a bit of a hard nosed ladder climber so probably didn't bond too much with the kids anyway - cause she worked alot while they were growing up.
I remember when they split and while she looked upset and tortured she was always over dressed and looked stunning. It was all an act imo.

I read the article. First off, Nicole is full of shit. She said she never had botox and is completely natural. Second, she said that the kids live with Tom and Katie during the school year. She probably sees her children during the summer and on holidays. We all know she loves her work and lives in Nashville. Third, she comes across so sad and pathetic.
