As scary as it sounds I would not be surprised the story atleast comes very close to the truth. It would not be the first time kids are so controled and brainswashed by scientology. I also can not ignore dad Tom who seems to have gone to the extremes of this madness in the last year or two

I think Nicole genuinely wants a substantial relationship with those kids, and does the best she can, but she's up against her control-freak ex-husband and the cult that he belongs to.

I doubt that she has much authority over the kids because their father and the superiors in their cult are completely undercutting Nicole every chance that they get and telling Connor and Bella that she's a bad person because she's not "one of them." These are kids who are more than likely being urged by the church that they've grown up in to cut ties with their mother. Since they've never known anything else, I doubt that they realize Scientology is in fact not a legitimate religion, but a cult. I wouldn't be surprised if they take it pretty seriously. Who knows what kind of compromising information and outright lies Tom and David Miscavige (whom I strongly suspect is Tom's lover) are telling the children about Nicole? I doubt they have much respect for her or put much stock in her opinions and advice.

Every time that I've seen Nicole talk about her kids, she seems so filled with love and pride, but there's also a distinct sadness in her eyes. My parents are divorced, and I know that as long as we were minors, we were required to spend time with both parents. If Tom and Nicole had a similar agreement, which they probably did as (no matter how much Tom wanted to) it would be very difficult for him to deny Nicole visitation, Nicole is still getting those visits.

However, as soon as they hit 18, the kids are no longer required by law to spend time with her. I think Nicole is aware that at that point, CO$ will do everything in its power (including issuing threats to the kids) to keep them away from her, for fear of her influencing them to leave the cult.

I believe that Nicole is terrified that when Connor and Bella reach legal age, she'll never see or hear from them again. That would explain her strong desire to have more children who are not affiliated with Tom or the cult.

As the mother of kids who were teenagers a few years ago, and the memory is still fresh, at least 90% of teenagers don't WANT to spend time with their parents. Thankfully, that changes when they get into their 20's.

Two, these two are brainwashed, and have a great, involved life right where they are. Many kids that age don't want to be away from their rooms, their friends and the (elaborate) toys.

Third, Nicole Kidman is Australian. They disagreed over where to raise the children. That was only one part of the many reasons why they divorced.

Do you REALLY think Nicole Kidman ever had a bleepin' chance against Tom Cruise and his Scientology junta? I think not. What she's doing is brave. Very brave. The only reason they don't eff with her is because it would be noticed.

I don't know but there seems to be a little bit of bullshit here. She talks about her kids digging in their heels?? She's the mom, she should do the same damn thing. She lives in Nashville and Australia. I would at the very least, live in the same state as they do. Put up a fuss. Who cares about any Scientology contract or whateve bs she signed with Tom Cruise. Let him be the one to call her out on that or sue her over it. He would never let that happen because people would mock his crazy ass even more.

What am I missing? I don't see where she said she is losing them to Scientology, just that she doesn't want to be discussing the religion. Other than that she stated the kids are teenagers and want to stay home instead of traveling with her. I think she has a home in LA as well as Australia and Nashville. There is no reason why she can't be there with them for long periods of time in between shooting - if she really wants that. I am anxious to hear the "story" she alluded to about adopting Bella.

I think the "story" is that Tom is shooting blanks, so they had no choice but to adopt. IMO by saying "there's an interesting story there" she was coming as close as she could to admitting that without risking getting sued or executed by the cult.

I don't think it's about what she wants, though. It's about what is in the visitation agreement. If she is only allowed to see them at certain times, then it wouldn't matter if she lived in LA permanently. I imagine Tom wouldn't be very agreeable to giving her more time because she isn't a $cientologist and is probably regarded as a bad influence.

Ok, wait a minute. There is a blind item currently in the other thread about an actress getting some rights to a very hard to get movie and the reason she got it was because of some remarks she made in a magazine recently.
The general thought was that it was Nicole, that by her saying that she lost a baby early on into her marriage w/Tom in this same VF article, that it makes him look 'hetero' and therefore she was rewarded w/the movie rights. THIS does not sound like she is helping him.....and now I am starting to wonder.

It's interesting that she's toeing the line. I'm sure Tommy has someone on the phone to her reminding her of all she stands to lose if she mouths off any more. If she really thinks she's lost her kids to him, she probably feels she has nothing to lose by telling the truth.

It's touchy for Nicole. If she admits everything than she also stands to look like an actress who sold her soul (and basically her adopted kids) to further her career. Its not like she will suddenly be a saint if she exposes Cruise; she entered into the agreement willingly.

I've thought this for years. He didn't have any kids with Mimi Rogers, then when they get divorced, she has kids. Nicole become "knocked up" and then her and Tom get divorced, because I presumed, he knew he couldn't have children. That's why Suri is so laughable/unbelievable.
