I remember totally loving NKOTB. Then I turned 10.
Then I was in 7th grade and this nice new girl that I was friends with who had just moved from Germany was still totally in love with NKOTB; turns out they were still a big deal. Within 6 months she was dying her hair black and listening to Shakespear Sister; I think the others may have been a bit cruel about her love of NKOTB. Fuckers.

Oh dear, yes I was a NKOTB fan. I loved Donnie and Jordan at times. And this is how sad I was. Our house got broken into and we had all sorts stolen, even my piddly little bank card. But what made me cry is they stole my NKOTB videos! I was devastated! Aaaah the hormonal teen years.

Just remembered, did anyone see a show (can't remember what it was) where Jonathon came on and he was shaking like a leaf. It was about panic and anxiety attacks. He suffers from them in a BIG way. He was shaking and twitching so much that he looked like he had a major disability. It was so sad to watch since I know how they feel. I hope he's over it now if he's going to perform. But then, he apparently got them before performing in their heyday but had to go on.

^^Wasn't that Oprah? Jonathan never seemed comfortable on stage to me.

Jordan was MINE!!!! I should be more embarrassed than most because I was older than the average fan at the time and still in love with them

This might not be true, but I heard that Jordan's parents wouldn't let him join the group unless Jonathan was allowed to join. I can't even remember if Jonathan can sing, it's been that long.

    I've kept a poster & a tee until today.

They were a big part of my teens & I want my kids to know, one day, who they were. They meant a lot to me.
I do the same with Aerosmith, cause am not sure if they will be around for much longer. Hope so, but ...

pure cheese this post, there ya go.

My cousin loved Danny. His face was unfortunate, but he had a nice body.

My poor dad was dragged to 3 concerts. Must have been torture.

Ugh. I must have been the only teenage girl who hated these guys. My friends would put on their videos and giggle and squeal, and I would just sit there and roll my eyes. Needless to say, I won't be watching April 4.

I'm mentally doing the "oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, the right stuff" side to side shuffle dance right now in my head.

And Jordan was the bomb baby! Of course now, I'd rather have Donny just because he kind of grew into his looks. And maybe he could hook me up with brother, who knows?

I was a Donnie fan. Of course, now I like his brother better! NTOKB was big when I was 14-15.

My fav was when i saw them and Donnie cut the audience in half and had one side say "drugs" and the other side say "suck"...then he pointed back and forth to get us to be louder than the other side. Fuck, I was only ten!!!! My side was the suck side.

At that show, my mother was waiting in a McDonalds at the front of the stadium...and the first thing she said was "Why were you guys yelling SUCK?!" hhahaha I guess our side of the stadium was a helluv a lot louder.

I had no idea they were coke-head groupie fuckers. But they did influence me as far as not smoking/drinking/druggin before I was corrupted at 18
