The Kennedys are more legendary than some legends around here.

The Kennedys are always interesting or the NE wouldn't print endless stuff about them which everybody reads.

Sorry for overreacting. I've been fighting with my bank for the past month, and at this point, I'm so frustrated, I'm snapping at everyone. My poor cat has no idea what she's doing wrong.

Thanks for the extra info - as I say I don't recall ever hearing these conclusions, but then I'm in the UK, so the family doesn't hold the thrawl here as it seems to in the US.

I'm in Massachusetts, and the Kennedys are practically royalty here. Personally, JFK Jr. is the only one that ever held my interest, but that was because he was gorgeous, and when I actually heard him speak, it turned out he didn't sound like an idiot.

Yeah, Carolyn Bessette wasn't that pretty. Sort of a plain Jane, but he sure liked them blondes, huh? It seems as if that's all he dated. That took my hopes away...lol
JFK Jr. was a hottie. He looked NOTHING like his father or the Kennedys. He looked exactly like his mother, with that dark hair, dark eyes and Jackie's French ancestry. When he died, I was like jeez, what a waste of a man. Too bad he never had any kids either.

Random thoughts: I used to spend quite a bit of time on Martha's Vineyard and saw JFKjr. any number of times there. He rode his bike around a lot and would pop into my favorite bookstore in Vineyard Haven where I once literally bashed into him. Not my type but I can see the appeal. I was on the Vineyard when he crashed. It certainly brought the island to a halt for a few days.

Me too. I am a self-proclaimed expert on the Kennedy presidency, and his assassination.

I do have to say that I was quite impressed by the way JFK Jr. and Carolyn got married though. That whole Cumberland Island getaway and how they married in a tiny African church that didn't even have electricity. That was cool. I remember reading how it was lit by candlelight and only a handful of people attended. John had loads of money, tons of fame since birth, yet John and Carolyn chose to marry simply. They kept it real. I thought that was pretty impressive.

Well, as simple as a 10 thousand dollar wedding gown can allow it to be.
