Ringo Starr, who overheard Cole, remarked to no one in particular: "Man, those are some grapes."
That's fucking great!

Is it time for Natalie to cash in on the family name and do a Duets with Dead Dad -Unplugged album or something?

Well, I just read a great article in the evening paper pointing out that Natalie Cole won her first Grammy in 1975, making her roughly the same age as Amy Winehouse. She also entered rehab in 1983 to fight addictions to, here it comes, LSD, heroin and crack...and Amy doesn't even have a rep for LSD. Since she entered rehab in 1983, one would guess that she was already well versed in the use of drugs in 1975 when she won her first Grammy, making her a complete and utter hypocrite. I think Ringo hit the nail on the head, eh?

Hell if you look back, some of the most respected musicians were junkies. They make the best music, so I say hooray for junkies continue the good work.

Think of all the writers who would never have gotten a Pulitzer or Nobel Prize, if only people who were clean got awards!

Good lord, we'd never have had Alice in Wonderland without the drugs.

If she follows their patterns, she'll be dead in two years. Hope she lives it up now!

Please, William Burroughs lived into his eighties and he was a junkie for much of his adult life. Jimi died from choking on his own vomit after too many downers, Janice, not a regular junkie, died from a heroin OD and Jim, well, I still think he did a runner to Africa (but if he didn't it was a heart attack).

except none of the above mentioned smoked crack......anyway, time will tell....theres always been that "27" curse
Janis was a frequent heroin injector- documented in all her biographies, but got a super strong dose that day at the Landmark- 50 to 80 % percent pure. Her and her lover Peggy Caserta had shot up on and off for years. She had been injecting speed for a long time before she started H......
as for Burroughs, yeah 80 years as a junkie sounds like lots of fun. I wonder how much time out of the 80 years he spent jonesing...
and the Morrison to Africa crap, c'mon no one over the age of 14 still beleives that story. Heroin was involved in his OD too..
