It sounds kind of Biblical.
It sounds kind of Biblical.
Well, I can't wait for someone to quote Leviticus or Deuteronomy; those are my favorite unclean books!
I have chosen to be barren after I have proven myself not to be... I already redeemed my vile woman self through child birth!
Her face is awful.
No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world
Great body, butterface.
You know, I don't believe her. I think she is saying that to deflect attention from all the broken relationships she has been in leaving her bitter. I just get that vibe from this woman.
I believe you should say "I couldn't care less" because if you "could care less" that means you still actually care some. Or that's how I've always read it.And I could care less what any poster's reasons for remaining childless and barren are. I could care less what other people do with their lives.
I agree with you. She's said in the past that she wants a lot of kids. She should just get inseminated. She doesn't need a baby daddy to have a child with her cash. She successful, financially secure, she should do that or adopt. But you're right, I think her broken relationships have left her bitter. Kenny Chesney though? Who didn't see that one coming? You know, I don't believe her. I think she is saying that to deflect attention from all the broken relationships she has been in leaving her bitter. I just get that vibe from this woman.
^ That's right. If you 'could care less' it means you do actually care. Damn, I was trying so hard not to reply and say anything about that, but the urge was too strong!![]()
[quote=jive;1142405]I can totally respect that. It's never been an ambition of mine either. It always annoys me when someone primary ambition is to get married and have babies. talk about setting low goals.
Well, as a mother who set her goals to be a mother I'm pretty insulted that you think it is a "low goal". To be a good mother is anything but easy. I'm glad Renee doesn't want to, we don't need any more woman being mothers who don't want to.
Feel free to have any goals you want, but maybe denigrating the goal of motherhood as "low" is not too smart. Ask your mom.
Whoa..... that's fine that you don't want kids, but if everyone had your attitude there'd be no people left!
Why does it annoy you that some women are satisfied by just being wives and mothers? Why do you care?
Well, said nana. I'm one of those 'lowly' women who just so happens to be cut out for motherhood, but I would never dream of bashing those who are not. Not everyone needs or wants to have kids and that's perfectly fine.
It takes all kinds!
This kind of thread always turns into an argument, just like the Helen Mirren not wanting to have kids one. Can't we all just get along?![]()

*sigh* It's the age old debate the only goal of which is to keep women at each other's throats. Stay-at-Home Mom vs. Career Woman. Who cares? A fabulous Mom or a fantastic doctor (or a nurse, or detective or whatever), you are both positive, contributing members of society and we should all support each other no matter what we are doing.
^^ Exactly! For some reason a lot of women just love to hate on each other.
The brain doesn't need blood. It just needs to be kept wet.
