I hope it's not true, but on the other hand you have to wonder why they would risk printing this if it didn't have any grain of truth to it.

That's what I was thinking. God forbid there was ever a sordid story about Johnny Depp.
I liked Morgan too, but he sounds like a perv.

I'm going to hang onto a small shred of hope that it's not true and he sues for libel and defamation - because it goes against all the dignity and integrity implied by that wonderful voice. If it's true, it's so disillusioning!
I'd say that the fact that this is his step-granddaughter, rather than his natural grand-daughter (have I understood that correctly?), at least removes the incest issue, but it's still an abuse of a position of trust.
As for the photographs business, it does sound strange - but maybe if you're trying to get out of a twisted situation, your brain starts applying twisted logic.

You're joking aren't you? Surely you've heard of mothers that have denied child abuse & side with their (abusing) spouses?

Thank god someone else is the voice of reason!
A Grandparent having sex with their grandchild/step-grandchild is abuse and/or incest. I don't care whether they're blood related or not. Would it still be incest if the grandchild was adopted? Damned right it would be!
The adult is in a position of trust, so its not alright and never is. Doesn't matter if its Morgan Freeman or anyone else. "NO" is the word to use in this situation.

That "under the radar" stuff seems to make it even more plausable to me. People that groom youngsters need to be able to get the parents to trust them with their kids....

I'm stunned.
It looks like Mediawhoever took this from the Enquirer.
I find it odd that this wasn't the "big story" on the cover, but a sidebar. The cover instead is about how fat Kirsti Alley is. Has it come to this? We're more outraged/interested in a woman's weight than a man abusing his grand-daughter?

Disappointed but nor surprised. Hollywood folk don't think the rules the rest of us abide by apply to them.

I don't think this is true-they would all splash it first.

Perez did report it, but basically just quoted from the Enquirer story.

i don't know why people are so upset. this is why i don't believe in celebs as role models. why the need to idolise? he's a great actor. why can't people just love his work without having to project it onto what he's like in real life?
there are a lot of people whose work i adore who are probably assholes or pervs in real life but it doesn't really matter as long as i still enjoy their work. i'm not saying it isn't nice to find out that some of them are also nice people but it's not a prerequisite.
that said, my father ran into morgan freeman at a hotel in karlovy vary (he was there for work, freeman was there for the film festival) and they struck up a conversation and my dad said he was intelligent and witty and very normal. so hey, he might be into young poon but at least he's also a nice guy )

I am so upset for this poor girl. I can't imagine being abused but knowing that the worse abuse came from the mother or grandmother you went to for help and instead they stay with your abuser. The old bastard and can rot in hell if this is true.
