Bottom line is this played out exactly how they all wanted it to, and they will laugh all the way to the bank. They knew this would cause a stink and knew it would draw more publicity. And then even more when she apologized and flaunted her little Lolita self all over the place again, giving dirty old pervs even more fantasy material about how she is so innocent she didn't even know her silly game would cause so much trouble! Her parents justify all this because she is so "mature" and wise for her years. All parents who allow their kids to be whored out to the Hollywood machine justify it that way. Sometimes it doesn't cause any problems, like Jodi Foster, and sometimes it does, like Britney. Is it worth the chance?

Still, I wouldn't let my 15 year old girl pose like that, regardless if she's covered or not. It's trashy.

What 15 yo boys reads VF? 15 yo boys should be looking at what they've always looked at, grown women doing cheesecake like MM, Farrah, Bo Derek, and on up until today.

A major publication publishing sexually suggestive pics (yes, it's supposed to look as if she's just been laid) of an underage girl know what it's doing, and that is pandering to the base desires of dirty old pervs in order to stir up controversy and sell magazines.

I think some people wouldn't be as cool about it, if it was their own 15 year old girl posing like that. She is 15, but she's still barely a teenager, she still classifies as a child, in my eyes. I bet most people here would'nt have posed like that at 15. I wouldn't have, and even at 18, I still won't, nor would I at 20, or 25, or 30, or whatever.

But whatever, it's a different opinion among many. I'm probably just a prude compared to most.

^^Photographs by pros like Leibowitz always have context and meaning, they are not just random snapshots, particularly if they get published. What other perception should we have of a clearly naked young girl wrapped in a bed sheet?

If I had a 15 year old daughter & she posed with a sheet around her, I'd be ok with it. I think. But that may be my perception of this particular photo clouding my judgment at the moment. I don't see it as dirty or fantasy worthy. I also do NOT see it as art. I see it as a PR stunt. It worked, IMO.

How many 15 year olds are having sex? How many 15 year olds have already had children? Way too many and Miley Cyrus posing in a sheet didn't make them do it and it's not going to make it happen any more than it already has.

Nothing wrong with 15 year old boys whacking off to anything - but at that age, they probably look at Madonna and their Dad's look at Miley. That's just the way it is.

Thankfully, my sisters all read cosmo back in the day, so I got to pound away at naked pictures of Arnold and Burt Reynolds. The thought of it today makes me ill, though.

I don't know, what do you think when you see someone photographed with a towel around them? What do you think when you see someone photographed with a puppy? What do you think when you see photos of someone in a car? It's perception. I think people look into pictures too much sometimes. I'm not saying this girl is all innocence & sunshine but I don't think this photo = pornography. How many pictures have you seen of someone getting their kid out of a tub with a towel around them? To me, that's not pornography - people will disagree with me and I'm ok with that. I have photos of my son completely nude when he was about a year old, to me that isn't porn. Am I going to put it on a magazine cover? nah.

To answer the hypothetical question, no, I wouldn't let my own child do it, though I probably would have done it at that age (if my mother had let me, which she wouldn't). I was sunbathing topless anyway, and you can only see her back.

Everyone has different comfort levels. I just don't project mine on other people.

Family photos are different, though. There's no telling how many pictures our mothers have of us running around stark naked........
