Her mother? Wait, is her mother the Leticia woman that made the tabloids back in the early nineties as a town tramp and groupie?

Good grief! At 14, sex was the farthest thing from my brain! Someone mentioned puberty, uh, that probably started about 3 years ago, not that it matters, she's still a kid. The thing is, someone asked and/or speculated and she answered and seeing that she is only 14, I figure there are worse ways she could explain her stand on things.

I'm not sure who her mama is, but it seems like I've seen her picture and Miley looks just like her.
Maybe that's why daddy needs to keep such a close eye..... the apple doesn't fall far from the tree ya know.

Oh come on. This is a 14 year old girl who may or may not be interested in boys. She's still a kid. It's ridiculous that adults (who should know better) are discussing her sexuality at all. No one here knows that this girl is promiscuous. Will she change her mind as she gets older? Maybe. But would you all prefer that she comes out and says she asipires to be a ho? Come on. Pick on the Brits, Linds and Banneds of the world. Leave the 14 year olds alone.

JMO, but in Hollywood, it'll be easier for her to avoid sex than it will the nose candy.
That would be my main concern if I had a child growing up there.

Whatever your age, your sex life is nobody's business. Someone has prompted her to say this...who in their right mind pipes up, "Oh, hey, I'm 14, and I'm a virgin!" Give me a break. Marketing...

While 14 may seem too young to be thinking about sex, many girls this age are. There was a girl in my daughter's grade 8 class last year who didn't finish the year because she was pregnant ... at 13! My son also knows someone in this age range who is pregnant.
When you are a parent yourself, this is a scary thing, the last thing you want to happen to one of your kids. My daughter is 14 and she still is not interested in boys yet. I can't tell you how grateful I am ... I know it's coming soon enough.

Keep on frontin' that 18th century attitude.

word. what's commendable about staying a virgin? i'm not saying women should go around fucking everything that moves either, but if anything, i think it's ridiculous to deprive yourself of something as natural and healthy as sex. and marrying someone without having slept with them first??? stupid thing to do. why can't people get it into their heads that the whole virginity=purity thing for girls is the invention of men that didn't want their egos hurt by marrying girls that had been with other men before and could therefore compare their performance with that of their previous lovers. they also didn't want women getting pregnant and having bastard children.
what i don't get is that in this day and age there are still women that believe this crap and want to live that way.
as for teen pregnancies, the problem isn't sex. it's that these people are dumb and can't be bothered to take the pill or use condoms.

It is a sad fact of life that 14 year olds are sexually active. Sweeping it under the rug and pretending it should not be discussed is about as effective as teaching abstinence and refusing to teach birth control. Covering your eyes does not eliminate the fact it is happening.
I looked her up on wiki and her mother is the notorious Leticia. Way back in the early 90s, a tabloid (can't remember which one) researched her mother. If I remember correctly, she had several children by different men, had broken up marriages, was a known groupie and gold digger, and I remember it being a muti page story. If my memory serves me correctly, she was married when she took up with mullet man.
Parental behavior can influence children.

I agree with all you've said, but the girl is only 14. We all know that she'll wind up having sex before she's married, but for now she's probably not mature enough to handle it emotionally, so it's good that she's not doing it.
The girl isn't out there blabbing about her (non) sex life just for the heck of it. She's trying to dismiss the rumors that she's pregnant. Personally I think it's good that she's saying this b/c unfortunately, there are some little girls out there who would run out and have sex earlier than they should just to be like Hannah Montana if they thought she was doing it too.
As a poster mentioned earlier, if her message prevents the conception of just one unwanted baby it's worth it.

Why can't I get past/click on certain pages on this board without getting "timed out"? I mean, even if I come back like...tomorrow...and try to view the same page of this thread...page four (no problems with 1 or 2 or 3) I will still get timed out. Annoying.

I agree, Bella. I think, if someone is 14 and already talking about sex then they won't be a virgin for that many more years.

If her mom was that big of a whorebag then this could just be her rebellion. It'll be interesting to see what actually happens when she's out of teen years....if she ends up going with what she witnessed growing up or if her mom's behavior made a true and lasting impact where she is determined to live her life just the opposite, and happened to realize that at an early age.
I'm calling it now: rebellion. eventual whoring. whatever it is she's actually saying, there's already too much focus on sex (and the choice of one extreme of sexual behaviors over another) at a young age.
