It doesn't matter if he sells 10 million copies of his albums, if he's spending gazillions making them. He takes years to record and the longer he takes the more money he spends, and the finished product doesn't recoup its recording costs. There were rumours his last album was going to be scrapped because it would cost his record company too much to promote it.
He can't sell the tens of millions he needs to cover the costs of his overblown ego-tripping. He thinks he's going to make another Thriller, but he just doesn't have enough fans left. His last album sold 8 million worldwide, but over how long a period? You make the most money just after an album is released, over the years a lot of sales would be at a discounted price.

I don't know how long ago his albums have been re certificated (or whatever yo call it) but I'm sure by now Invincible has sold more. The album wasn't that great, save for a few mid-tempo tracks like the one with Floetry.
Thriller was re-released as a 25th anniversary with DVD extras last year, and it sold another million in a short period of time. People like Thriller, so if MJ can release quality music again, repair his image (I know thats far fetched) he'll be able to at least go back to how it was in the 90s.

I used to like his music. As someone who was molested as a kid
by some selfish twisted douche, I would never give MJ a dime.
I wouldn't even spit on him if he were on fire.
IMO defending a chomo is... a slap in the face of every child.

yep I second that statement and it's the reason I so loathe Michael Jackson. Because of who he is, he gets by with this stuff. The guy says "I'm not going to stop sleeping with children" And people stand there and say "oh he's not doing anything" ....... what a world.

Oldie but goodie:
Another juror in Michael Jackson case expresses doubt about verdict - Courttv.com - Trials
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A third juror in the Michael Jackson case who initially favored a guilty verdict weighed in after two others expressed second thoughts, saying she believes the entertainer is a child molester but joined in the verdict exonerating him because of reasonable doubt.
Appearing on MSNBC on Tuesday, Juror Katarina Carls said she initially agreed with Eleanor Cook and Ray Hultman that Jackson was guilty, but decided she could not convict because of jury instructions that he must be acquitted if there was reasonable doubt. She said it was possible that Jackson's accuser was lying.
"I kept asking myself, is there any slight possibility that this boy might lie at all? And my answer was yes," she said. Cook and Hultman said Monday as they began publicizing book deals that they believe Jackson molested his 15-year-old accuser and now regret finding him not guilty in the June verdict.
Story continues advertisement
They said on MSNBC that they went along with the other panelists because the jury foreman threatened to have them removed.
Cook and Hultman's reversals have no effect on the verdict, which cannot be appealed.
Jackson's lawyer, Thomas Mesereau Jr., has ridiculed their accounts, saying they may be seeking fame and fortune.
Another juror appearing on MSNBC on Tuesday, Mike Stevens, disputed Cook's claim that she was intimidated into going along. He said Cook told another juror at one point that she couldn't be swayed, and that the jury foreman did not threaten to remove Cook for holding out, but for giving personal opinions rather than following the law and the evidence.

They are not looked upon kindly in the joint, lol!
I had a friend who learned all sorts of this
interesting jail trivia while he was in.
