Lawyer Brian Oxman, a spokesperson for the Jackson lawyer, said prescription medications may have contributed to the death -- but no official cause has been given.

"For the last many months, and almost more than a year, this family has been talking about the use of medications by Michael and warning he was going to wake up dead," Oxman, his voice wavering, told CTV News Channel. "This was our fear."

I find it creepier when stuff like 'Baby P' happens and people are crying over a child they never even knew or met... (fyi Baby P was a child in the UK who died of neglect. There were flowers and outpourings of grief that I found entirely over the top, total strangers bawling their eyes out...)

Bad Aella. I know there is some reason I should give you not to play that, but I can't think of one. Give me a minute.

I'm sure this is very sad for Janet and Latoya and the rest of the family.

With Michael around, he took a lot of the freakshow spotlight off of them.

(Hm, all this talk of weed and booze makes me want to pour myself a glass of tequila now)

Ok, ok. I admit I cried over a few celebrity deaths. Not recently though. I died for each of the Space Shuttle catastrophes. Yes, I love astronomy dammit!

It's hard to reconcile the Michael Jackson of more recent years with the one I grew up listening to (the Thriller era). Wow. I hope now he's at peace, but what a freaking shock that he died. I didn't realize he was that ill (?).
