I'm just dying to see which phony celebs will show up at the memorial. Interesting that Sir Paul is showing up, an earlier post suggested there was a lot of animosity about earlier dealings with the Beatles music collection. Gonna be fascinating to watch Liz Taylor.
And Beyonce, oh boy. Maybe Lindsay Lohan.
Whatever the case, as the Dateline show alluded to, in death MJ finally achieved his greatest comeback of all, to be relevant and loved the world over again in unprecedented fashion.
He be an icon.

I wonder if Quincy Jones is going to show up after ripping MJ in that interview? And McCartney showing up oughta be fun. Lisa Marie will probably show up so she can blog about it and compare it to Elvis' funeral.
But the fantards are the ones I really want to see. That's going to be trainwreck television.

MICHAEL JACKSON IS NOT DEAD!
That is right! You heard correctly. Michael Jackson is not dead! The way I see it is this. Michael Jackson is a diva for the dramatic and he loves to be the center of attention. Michael Jackson is staging a comeback tour and everybody knows that comeback tours for musicians never really pan out. If you recall he tried one before already with little success so he needs a real heart stopper (pardon the pun.) to get everybody’s attention.
People have gradually thought more and more of Michael Jackson as a caricature than a real person and this image is one he desperately needed to break out of. Well you know that once a persons career starts spiraling downwards that it will not stop until the career or the performer is dead. Well that is exactly what Michael is doing! He is killing the former caricature of himself and using this gimmick of staging his death to remind people of who it is that they fell in love with in the first place. Remember that people reminisce and forgive when someone dies and people definitely give the artist their undivided attention when he is dead.
Michael Jackson is kicking of his comeback tour in a way know one else has ever done before. Here are the facts:
1) When asked by CNN reporter “How is the family doing?” Joe Jackson, Michaels father stated the family is doing fine. He added that the world loves Michael and that Michael loves the world and that it is sad that it take something like this so that he can see it.
2) Michael Jackson’s public funeral was changed from Neverland Ranch. Which would be the logical place since it was the place he loved the most to the Staple Center. A public venue which is more set up for concerts than funerals.
3) Michael Jackson’s mother whom he holds in deepest regards has yet to speak publicly about her son.
4) Michael Jackson was scheduled to start his comeback tour in early July and very little was know about it. It was kept very secretive from the whole world.
5) Comeback tours are usually accompanied with a lot of publicity. Michael Jackson now has the whole worlds attention!
6) Michael Jackson has been reported before to be an extremely health conscious individual with a very strict health maintenance regimen and trainers. The only other time he feigned illness was when he came to his child molestation hearings in his pajamas bottoms.
7) Supposedly it is to be a closed casket funeral! Surprise entrance anybody?
I’m sure there are more tell tale signs out there. Perhaps you could come up with a few of your own. The fact is Michael Jackson is not dead he is staging a huge come back tour like “coming back from the dead” ala King of King’s Jesus style and he is going to do it at the staples center in front of thousands of devoted fans. Look out world Michaels Back!
I am Siempre Solo and I have something to say!

Somebody's going to be really disappointed when that casket doesn't spring open.

F**k yea!
I think some official was speaking in front of the Staples center, maybe a police guy, and were saying to the public to stay home and watch it on t.v.
When those four Oakland officers were shot, and the memorial staged at the Oakland Coliseum, they did show the ceremony live.
So obviously they would show this one.
Can you imagine the ratings this baby will get? Not only will L.A. shut down, but the whole world will, people calling in sick and watching it at home and bawling their eyes out (come on now, admit it GR'ers).
The ultimate final comeback. The best parts to watch will no doubt be the phony celebs mugging for attention, the Jackson family, and Liz Taylor.
A close second will be WW4 between westborough idiots and the fan tards.
The sheer number of posts this one topic alone gets on GR. The world grief. There is no doubt MJ, whether you hate him or not, is an icon. Nothing less than an icon and legend would get this kind of massive attention, enough to shut down the whole world.

Um, yeah, okay, except for the fact that he could go to jail for faking his death. And it's so preposterous to think that so many people, from LAPD to the Coroner's Office to the paramedics would all be involved in such a scheme.
He's DEAD. DEADgina.

Not to mention the fact that by all accounts MJ truly loved his fans, and would never do something like fake his own death that would cause such grief and people to kill themselves.

Colin Powell: Celebrate Michael Jackson's art
Colin Powell: Celebrate Michael Jackson's art - Yahoo! News
WASHINGTON – Colin Powell says Michael Jackson had controversy in his life, but in death his art should be celebrated.
The retired general and former secretary of state said he was in Vietnam, Korea or stationed elsewhere during Jackson's heyday.
"So he's not quite of my generation but his art spanned three generations and is worthy of all the tribute that he is receiving for his art," Powell said in a television interview set to air Sunday.
Powell said his most vivid memory of Jackson is of the young boy performing with his brothers in the Jackson 5. He said the Jacksons were "fresh, exciting kids with the 'fros in the early '70s and singing those wonderful songs."
Jackson, who died June 25, had been plagued with heavy debts, allegations of child abuse and use of prescription drugs.
"Yes, there were some challenges in his life," Powell told CNN's "State of the Union," which released excerpts of the interview ahead of the broadcast. "Yes, there was a great deal of controversy about him. But he's now passed on. Let's celebrate his art."
