I think there was a report that suggested that Katherine and Joe are no longer together although they are still married. Although I bet he will try to get access to the money. On the news you can tell all he was interested in is how to make money out of this.

I've been reading that while she has some control over the estate she doesn't have full control. Sounds like someone already took the Papa Joe factor into consideration.

Michael did not need to adopt the children if they were born to Debbie Rowe while they were married or within x amount of time of a divorce (I think it's 9 months). The default legal father for children in the U.S. is the husband of the woman (if she is married). It doesn't matter if he never touched her (unless he protests it, but that is difficult.) The third kid? Now that could be an issue if there was no adoption.
